Peanut Butter Product Recall

We all have been hearing about this recall for several weeks. I didn't think we had any of the affected products in our house, but hadn't checked. The local grocery stores have posted information on which recalled products they carry and what to do if you have the products.

Shop 'n Save has some 10/$10 sales this week. Most of those sales Schnucks also has, and Schnucks doubles coupons up to 40 cents.

Free Grand Slam Breakfast at Denny's

As announced during Denny's Super Bowl commercial, Denny's will be giving away free Grand Slams Tuesday, February 3rd from 6am -2pm

Consumers who take advantage of the Denny's free offer will get another great surprise: A bounceback coupon booklet that will give guests great deals, including offers for additional free menu items with purchases. Also, in conjunction with the free Grand Slam on Tuesday, Denny's guests will be able to "Slam It Up" by adding any two additional items for 99 cents each.

Walgreens Deals 2/1/09 - 2/7/09

This week: Reusable Green Bags - 3 for $1 with in ad coupon. I just read that 14 plastic bags contain enough petroleum to fuel a car for a mile. I take a few reusable bags to the grocery store, but don't think of using them elsewhere. I'm going to get a few more bags at this price and try to remember them everywhere.

Remember:

1. Count the number of items you have and the number of coupons you are using. (A register reward is considered a coupon.) The register will not accept more coupons than items you're purchasing. Purchase fillers as needed.
2. Always give the cashier your coupons in groups, first Register Rewards, then manufacturer's coupons, and then Walgreens' coupons.
3. If you use a Register Reward for the same brand of products, you will not receive another Register Reward. If you use a Register Reward for a different brand of products, you will receive a Register Reward.
4. Ask for a rain check if the store is out of a sale item. They don't expire and you can use them at any Walgreens.
   

Walgreens February Free after Rebate

Six items free after rebate(FAR) in February's EasySaver Catalog. A few even start the month as money makers.

I usually don't run out and get the FAR items right away at the beginning of the month for several reasons:

1. I wait until the previous month's rebates are loaded on my gift card. I then use my gift card to purchase the current month's rebates.
2. I would like to use a coupon on every FAR item. Many times a coupon will be issued for a FAR item during the month.
3. Sometimes FAR items are involved with another sale, such as a Buy One Get One sale. That mean two items for free!
