Schnucks Twin Oaks Matches Shop 'n Save $10 off $50

I just got this great tip from a reader, thanks anonymous.

The Schnucks' Twin Oaks store located at 141 & Big Bend will match Shop 'n Save's $10 off $50 Thursday. Cut out the $10 off $50 advertising from the Shop 'n Save's ad and take with you when shop at Schnucks Twin Oaks.

I called the Twin Oaks store this morning to confirm this information. Not that I didn't believe anonymous, but it sounded too good to be true. The Schnucks I shop at quit matching Shop 'n Save's deal when Shop 'n Save went to no coupon necessary.

I also called Schnucks on the Hill this morning. They do not match Shop 'n Save's $10 off $50 Thursdays.

Recently, Schnucks seems to be offering more Catalina Coupon offers. This week, they're advertising an offer from Kellogg's. Their ad states, "See details in-store."

I went to the store to "see." The store I visited had no information in the cereal aisle about the Catalina. So, I went to "see" Customer Service. They were very helpful. They looked in the cereal aisle - no I didn't miss it, called corporate, and finally found a notebook with company issued memos about Catalina promotions. The memo listed the participating products, but no specific sizes.

I have included in my posting the best prices for the participating products. No guarantee they are the right sizes. I love Catlaina offers because I've saved a ton of money with Catalinas and coupons. I just wish Schnucks would have more information available on the Catalina offers.

Remember:
1. Schnucks doubles coupons .40 and less in the St. Louis area.
2. Limit of 15 coupons doubled.
3. Ask for a rain check if they are out of a sale item.
4. On a B1G1 sales you have to buy two to get the deal.
5. Items on a 10/$10 sale ring up $1 each. You don't have to buy 10.

Remember:

1. Count the number of items you have and the number of coupons you are using. (A register reward is considered a coupon but an in-ad coupon isn't.) The register will not accept more coupons than items you're purchasing. Purchase fillers as needed.
2. Always give the cashier your coupons in groups, first Register Rewards, then manufacturer's coupons, and then Walgreens' coupons.
3. Only one Register Reward will print per offer per transaction. Split your items into several transaction if you want to earn Register Rewards on each of them. Example: This week if you want to buy more than one Colgate and get Register Rewards for each of them, they have to be in separate transactions.

I was disappointed that Walgreens was discounting their EasySaver Rebate program - until I shopped this week. What an unbelievable week for Walgreens.

We are very lucky in St Louis that Walgreens is on every corner. Or at least it feels like they are. I checked MapQuest and I have 12 Walgreens within five miles of my home. I only shop at seven of them.

Schnucks - Two Catalina Coupons from Old El Paso

Today at Schnucks, my Old El Paso purchase produced two Catalinas - $5 on the next shopping trip from General Mills, and $3 on a beef or chicken purchase from Old El Paso.

$1 off 2 Old El Paso products' coupons are in a Corona brochure. I found these coupons a few weeks ago, but they were still available today at the Corona display.

Remember: You want multiple coupons to use when a product is at a rock bottom price. When it's good coupon insert week, I purchase 4 or 5 papers and sometimes acquire more. At first, I thought it was crazy to spend money to save money. But I've always saved much more than my $1 investment.

DEAL$ sells the Sunday Post Dispatch for $1. The early edition is published on Saturday and it includes all the coupon inserts. They usually have the Sunday paper left around on Monday also. Find the DEAL$ closest to you here.

Kmart - Doubling Coupons Up to ?

Kmart's online ads for the St Louis area say they are doubling coupons up to 75 cents the week of May 3.

Online chatter is reporting conflicting information. I called a few Kmarts this morning to see what is really going to happen.

• Manchester Rd. in the City- not doubling
• Ballwin - up to .75
• Fairview Heights - up to .75
• Lemay Ferry in South County - up to $2

I'm not confident the info I received over the phone is correct. Anyway, it's hard for me to get excited if Kmart's doubling coupons for anything less than $2. Just two weeks ago they triples coupons up to .75 and doubled up to $4.

I've not heard of this brand before, so I did a little research. The developer of this product was initially developing chemical-free household cleaning products for the pet market. When he and his wife were thinking about starting a family, he realised the baby market had the same needs.

How interesting. Friends told me that before I had children, I should practice being a parent by having a dog. The developer of BabyGanics turned that idea into a company.
