I opened up the St Louis Post-Dispatch this morning to find a full page Walgreens ad with a $5 off $25 coupon good through Saturday, August 8th!
My "best buys" are items $1 or less, meat for $2 or less a pound and a few other items that are at rock bottom prices. When I keep my shopping list to these items, I can bring home a ton of groceries for very little money.
Make sure you pick up a copy or two of Dierbergs Extra (the black & white ad found at the stores). It has two manufacturer coupons in it this week, and since they are manufacturer and not store coupons they can use used anywhere. Both coupons have a 9/30 expiration date.
Schnuck is having a huge 10/$10 sale. Remember each item will ring up for $1, you don't have to buy 10 to get the sale price.

I've come to the conclusion my husband and sons are boring eaters. They would be plenty happy to eat the same thing every night of the week -grilled chicken for my youngest, BBQ sandwiches for my oldest and grilled pork anything for my husband. This does make menu planning easy - same ol', same ol'.
