  3. Hi,
Went to Walgreens this morning and they have an in-ad coupon for Palmolive for .99 cents. I found a $1 coupon in one of the coupon inserts (wish I could tell you which one), so it was free.

  4. Anyone know which insert Deb is refering to? The only Palmolive coupon I have is .75 on 20 oz from 1/2 RP, expired 1/22.

  7. Hi again,
Found the Palmolive coupon I didn't use, and yes it is for the 20 oz size...I used the antibacterial one...oh well, the register accepted the coupon and I bought the 10 oz Palmolive...my bad...though I did tell the cashier I didn't know if I could use it since I didn't see the deal on the website I visit! Darn, I owe Walgreens $1.
Anyway, I love this site, and thank you for all you do for us!
    Deb

  8. Great job CJ!

Hi Debbie - I think we've all used a coupon we shouldn't have before we realize that it wasn't intended for the product we bought.

Just as a friendly remember for all couponers. When a retailer accepts a coupon for a product that they don't carry or haven't sold as many as coupons redeemed, they won't get reinbursed for it.

When retailers don't get reinbursed for a coupon, they are not happy campers. It makes it difficult for anyone using coupons. So, to make your life easier using coupons, double check they are for the correct products.

  9. If you bought the Arnicare Pain Relief Gel, open the box. There is a $1.50 coupon inside. It will beep as the printable one does. These coupons are not coded correctly.

CJ, for me the Icy Hot that produces the RR was not by most of the Icy Hot products. It was with cold items. Look by the Vicks Vapor Rub. That is where I finally found it!

  10. It doesnt seem to make sense that Walgreens registers will accept a Palmolive coupon that doesnt match the right size, but it will beep for the Arnicare coupons which are a perfect match for the product.

  11. Hi CJ - I don't think it's Walgreens registers with these coupons. I think it's the way the manufacturer had them coded.

But, then agian it's Walgreens, so who knows?

  12. Hi All,

Ok as I am seeing it:

The Palmolive coupon is coded "76" which means $1 off automatic and is in the Palmolive "Family Code". I will not say Why it was accepted at Wags cuz this is where I think coupon fraud comes into play with "Family Codes". Just my 2 cents. =)

The Arnicare is coded "00" which means "Cashier Intervention" for them to verify you have bought the correct product etc. HTH

  13. Thanks, Janet for you insight!

  14. Janet - Thanks for the info on the Arnicare. Next time a coupon beeps I'll check to see if it's a "00" and be able to explain it to the cashier if they question it.

  15. Excedrin Extra Strength 8ct is $1.49.

  16. I was just reading through these comments and saw the post from Jeri about retailers not getting reimbursed if the coupon you use doesn't match the product...and I wondered if the same applies when an expired coupon is used. Oftentimes either I don't notice the expiration date or the cashier doesn't, but the coupon is accepted anyway. Anyone know the answer to that?

  17. We already received our weekend Post Dispatch with all the inserts. In SS there is a 50 cents coupon off any one Mentos item. On page 3 of this week's ad there is a Walgreens coupon making Mentos $.39. (Be sure to use the SS coupon before the Walgreens coupon.) You must do this before the sale ends Saturday night.

  18. Hi Betsy -Retailers do have a period of time after a coupon has expired to submit it for reinbursement. I'm not sure how long the time period is.

I think it is very important to use coupon correctly. For the correct product and before the coupon expires. Retailers become leary of every couponer when they have gotten burned with incorrect coupon usage.

How smoothly your transaction goes at check out is dependent on how much trust the cashier has in you. I don't ever try to pull something that I shouldn't, because that trust is everything in couponing.
