Walgreens - FREE Mentos

Today only! You can pick up FREE Mentos at Walgreens with the coupon in this Sunday's inserts.

Walgreens - Through Saturday, 2/05/11

Mentos (1.32 oz) - .39 with in-ad coupon
.50 - off any Mentos item - 2/06/11 SS
Final price: FREE or better

Always had the manufacturer coupon to the cashier before the Walgreens in-ad coupon.  If your cashier rings them up in this order you will get a bit of overage for this deal. 

Make sure you purchase other items to cover the overage.  It freaks cashiers out when the total comes up negative.

    Silly question - how do you calculate the price if they scan them in order or if they do the in-ad coupon first? This seems like it should be easy to figure out but my brain is just not working. :) The Mentos were .99 at my store. Thanks!

    Hi Anonymous - I'll see if I can explain the order of coupons, at least as think it works.

    If the manufacturer coupon is rang up first
    Mentos .99
    Manf coupon -.50
    = .49
    Wags coupon -.60
    = .11 of overage

    If the Walagreens coupon is rung up first
    Mentos .99
    Wags coupon -.60
    = .39
    Manf might beep be becsause the product is now less than .50. The cashier might push it trough or reduce the manf. coupon to .39
