  1. Gooooood Afternoon to All,

Sorry to have been MIA been on vacation well kinda vacation for me I still have to come back into town and work =) Trying to get caught up on what good deals are going on. I have read about the Kraft Cat deal and was pretty excited til I took a peak into the future =) I think I might call this one "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". Yep I am a Clint Eastwood fan. =) The Kraft Cat deal buy up to 10 items get up to $10 Cat back is going to DD with a buy 10 Kraft items get $5 off Instantly and fall during a week we ARE having a -$10/$50 =). Gonna be a confusing one to keep up with which products are included in which deal. I have a few things to do around here and try and get things scanned for you guys. =)

    Sooo good to be home.

    1. Thanks, Janet !!!!!

It looks like I have my work cut out for me. Thanks for the early look. I just hope I can focus on the match ups and not on what deals I want to put on my shopping list.

  5. Dannon Activa Yogurt (4 pack) - $1.00 breakfest Activia coupon works. It beeped as a 'fraud' coupon, the checker laughed, called over the mgr and we all chuckled. It was obvious that it was cut out from the paper. They rang all 4 right through.

  6. Could you tell me how to figure the cost per item on coupon Thursday with the instant savings deals?

    1. Hi - I was just about to email Janet to make sure I was doing it correctly. I'm working on the match ups for next week already.

Instant Savings come off your receipt before the cashier hits total, so if you were buying one $5 Instant Savings offer you would need to purchase $55 before coupons to get the $10 discount.

I always multiple the price of an item my 80% (40 divided by 50)then subtracted coupons to figure the Thursday cost, but if your purchase included a $5 Instant Savings deal you would now need to divide 40 by 55 or 72.7%.

Anyone have different ideas on how to figure with Instant Savings? I could be wrong.

    2. Take 50 cents off the price of each item if it is a buy 10 save $5. It is much easier to think of it that way. $2 item would be $1.50, $3 item would be $2.50, etc.

Can't wait to see the match-ups. I have started planning for Thursday also!

    3. Hi Kara - Yes much easier on the cheaper items. I was thinking it wouldn't work on the more expensive items, but I figured the price of Velveeta

      10 x $5.63 = $56.40
      - $10 Thursday Discount
      - $5 Instant Savings
      = $41.40
      Get $10 Catalina
      = $31.40 or $3.14 each

It ended up being within 2 cents of my figures using the 72.7% multiplier.

  7. Wow thats too much math for me! I usually just deduct 30% from each item for $10 day and the $5 SNS coupon, and then deduct the amount of any coupon I used. Sometimes I just add up the discounts and figure I got $25 worth or how-much-ever for free.

    1. So you don't want to check my math when I post SNS? I always need an editor :)

Question: Can we roll the Kraft Catalina? Not the end of the world if we cannot but thought I would ask. Thanks!!!!!

    1. Hi Jess - Yes, use the Kraft $10 Cat to purchase you next 10 Kraft items. I've never seen a Catalina that wouldn't roll at the grocery stores.
