  1. In the St. Charles area, the glade expressions are printing two, $1.00 RRs.....making it a $2.00 money maker

    1. There was a coupon in a recent insert for free Glade Expressions starter kit wyb a refill. Not sure how much the refills are at Walgreens but it may be a good deal if 2 $1 RRs print and it should deduct $2.99 for the kit. At Target the refills are $1.99 so you could get both there for $1.99 after the coupon.

    2. Hi CJ - I looked for the refill price yesterday, and thought I would remember the price. I think they were $3.79, but they are triggering a RR also. It might be the same one as the starter kits.

    3. Refills are on sale for 1/$3.19, or 2/$6 which generates a $1 RR. I bought 1 starter kit and 1 refill, had a $1 coupon for the refill, my "free starter kit wyb a refill" coupon deducted $3.19 instead of the $2.99 sale price, and I got the double $1 RRs, so got both for free :)

  2. I tried to use my printable $3 off the glade but the system would not let the cashier put it in since it was $2.99 on sale, bummer!

  3. I had the same problem.....was told I had to purchase 1 more item to make the purchase more then $2.99. It still wouldn't work. So, she manually put it in. I was told that they changed the system again and they can't change the amount of the coupon?????? I was also told that they are training on the new program they are going to be rolling out. Say good bye to RR.

    1. Recent Walgreens ads have clearly shown items on sale for .99 and the ad shows to use a $1 coupon from the paper and it shows .99 off, making it free, so they CAN reduce coupons. I'm always baffled that some stores cant seem to follow their own ads or policies.
I'm not looking forward to the new "loyalty" program and the demise of RRs.

  4. Hi Jessye & NSKCSF - Sorry to hear of your problems with the Glade coupon.

Here is what Walgreens Coupon Policy says:

"In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons."

    Find it here: http://www.walgreens.com/topic/help/generalhelp/coupon_policy_main.jsp?_requestid=37856

My interpretation of the policy is they should reduce the coupon. In the situations you ran into I would have asked to speak to a manager.

Yes, I know their new loyalty card program is just around the corner. I haven't heard good things about it form Walgreens shoppers in the test markets. From my understanding, RR won't completely be done away with - just greatly reduce for the point system.

Sure hope CVS gets busy and builds all those new stores in the St Louis area like they say they are planning to do.

  5. Just purchased the Glade starter kit today at a Walgreens. Only one $1 RR printed. Didn't get the double as others have mentioned.

    1. Hi Alice - Sorry the double dipping Register Reward didn't work for you. I wonder if Walgreens pulled one of the Register Rewards from working?

  6. Kmart has the Glade starter kits priced at $8.49 BOGO. I used 2 $5 coupons and had to have a $1.51 filler. Then got the $1 RR! so....a $2.51 MM!!
