Walgreens EasySaver Catalog

This little monthly catalog is a gold mine of deals. Pick up a copy at Walgreens on the rack where you find the weekly ad. Two different types of deals are included in the book - coupons and rebates.

Instant Value Coupons (IVC)

The first half of the EasySaver catalog is filled with Walgreen's coupons. They are good for the entire month.

IVC's can be combined with manufacturer coupons and Walgreens 7 day coupon. When you use/stack IVC's with other coupons you increase your savings. Sometimes I have been able to combine a manufacturer's coupon and an IVC with sale and get the product for free.

There are limits listed on the coupons. Walgreens' cash register system is not programed to recognize these limits. You will receive the discount for each of the products you purchase. The cashier could enforce these limits - although I haven't had this happen.

No need to tear the coupon out of the catalog. Just find the coupon and give it to the cashier to scan.

EasySaver Rebates (ESR)

The last half of the EasySaver catalog lists Walgreens' rebates. There are at least 30 different rebates offered each month. And the best part, anywhere between 1 and 6 of the offers are completely free after rebate (FAR).

You can use coupons on the rebate items to increase your savings or to actually make money. When you use a coupon on a FAR item, you pay less than full price and get the full price back.

The ESR's are easier than your typical mail in rebate (MIR) because you have the option of submitting and tracking your rebates online. The middle of the catalog explains how to claim your rebates and gives a toll-free number for customer service to answer any questions. You can also read detailed instructions online here. When I called them with a question, they were more than very helpful - the best customer service department I have ever dealt with.

Another way ESR's are easier than your typical MIR is you have the option for the rebate to be issued on a Walgreens gift card. And you will receive a 10% bonus when you choose the gift card option. After the first month, that same gift card will be reloaded so you don't have to wait for the mail.

Finally, when you submit your ESR online you still have your original receipt. I have used a coupon on a FAR item, received the 10% bonus, and then used the original receipt to apply for a manufacturer's MIR - all on the same item. This is when I get paid to shop.

It is easier to take advantage of Walgreens' ESRs than it is to read about them. Pick up a EasySaver catalog, purchase a FAR item, follow the instructions in the catalog to submit your rebate and enjoy your Walgreens' savings.
