Other Grocery Stores in St Louis

Here is what I see as the best "cherry picking" items at the other grocery stores in town. I don't include all the match-ups, but only items you might want to pick up, if one of these stores is convenient to your location.

If you see items I missed, or if you know of great deals at stores I haven't listed, please leave the information in the comments section.

Click on the store name for more information - location, hours, current ad.

  2. Thanks, kas!

Have you purchased meat at Alps and what is the quality?

  3. Jeri- Not yet, only the Grand Opening items and the Mrs. Smith cobblers. While the bacon looks like a deal, last box (U-City Food For Less) was filled with bits and pieces. Also it might be slab bacon, which is hard to pan fry. To be honest, the packaging of some meat items remain me of what restuarants and instututions might receive from a company like Sysco.

What the deal with SFM ad? I keep bringing up the ad that expired on Tuesday.

  4. kas - Keep us posted if you buy meat at Alps and the quality.

I noticed SFM hadn't updated their ad on their web site yesterday morning. I still included the link - hoping they were just late in getting it done. Their webmaster must be on vacation or sleeping on the job.

I posted prices from the ad in Wednesday's Post-Dispatch.

  5. Before I went to (Moran) Save-a-Lot today, I checked the website for the new ad. Not up yet; but I did find some (15) coupons that are good through 3/30/10. Only two will print per page. One coupon is a B1G1 (2/$1.29) on the store brand salad dressing. The other coupon took a $1.00 off a Mrs. Smith Pie @$2.99.
