Couponing for Charity - Week of 10/30/11
Couponing for Charity
A few week's ago, I started a Couponing for Charity project where I budget $5 per week to pick up items that will go directly to charity. I've had several readers contacted me wanting to know what would be good items for them to pick up to donate.
Each week, I'll make a short list of deals and coupon match-ups for Couponing for Charity. If you have other ideas of what would be great donation items, please leave a comment.

List: Anything that you would need to take care of your family.
ReplyDeleteWe are seeing families (children ages newborn to teens), and individuals) male/female, all ages)
Personal care items (razors, deo, body wash/soap)
Household items (Toilet Paper, cleaning supplies) *4 families I spoke with this week are moving into housing this week! - but they have lost nearly everything they had*.
Non-perishable food items. Think "items to make a meal", - pasta/rice, soup, canned fruit/veggies/meat - food stamps don't last the entire month, so we will provide the items for 1 or 2 meals.
*for our friends who are homeless, ready to eat foods in an easy open package are ideal(i.e. poptops, or easy open pouches).
Of course, our church (The Rock in Soulard, 12th & Victor) would gladly accept these donations, but this will give you an idea of the need no matter where you donate. Hope this helps!
