My Dierberg's only had 1 ceral for the 2 for $4.00 price; the Honey Nut. I asked to speak to the mgr as even tho the picture showed only Honey Nut; the ad also said, "General Mills" cereal; select varities. Plural. I explained to the mgr that if it's printed plural then more varieties should be on the list. He said he make a note of this. Yuk, I even went out into the sleet at 11:30pm. Does anyone know if other Dierbergs may be has a variety, in the sense of the word??

DeleteIt seems like the grocery store ads are more vauge all the time and coupons more specific for a certain variety. Couponing has always been an adventure, but .....
If I were you, I would send a message to corporate via email or even post your displeasure on their Facebook page. I'm not sure managers always relay customers comments to those above them.
Took your advice and posted on Facebook/Dierbergs Markets page; here's a snippet: "The HoneyNut Cheerios are the only 2 for $4.00 General Mills cereal on sale. Although the ad only shows Honeynut; the wording is in plural; which leads one to believe that there will be more than one variety included in the sale..."
ReplyDeleteJeri, an apology from you is never needed. Your site has assisted me in saving dollars for a whole year now. The Dierbergs ad was - simply put - unclear. However, their Tuesday only-$2.99 pizza, was not only clear in wording but tasty too~!

Dierbergs has commented: "Sorry about your experience with the HoneyNut cheerios in our weekly ad. We've forwarded your comments onto our Customer Service Manager to get clarification -- and to flag the confusion that you had. From there is will go onto the cereal Category Manager and hopefully we'll avoid confusion in the future." and it only took them 4 minutes to respond. Thanks Jeri~!
