Walgreens Deal 1/18/09 - 1/24/09

Before couponing, I never thought of Walgreens as a place to buy food. Surprisingly, they have a nice little selection of basic pantry items. Their regular prices are much higher than the grocery store, but when they go on sale there can be some great deals.

Remember:
1. Count the number of items you have and the number of coupons you are using. (A register reward is considered a coupon.) The register will not accept more coupons than items you're purchasing. Purchase fillers as needed.

2. Always give the cashier your coupons in groups, first manufacturer's coupons, then Walgreens' coupons.

3. If you use a Register Reward for the same brand of products, you will not receive another Register Reward. If you use a Register Reward for a different brand of products, you will receive a Register Reward.

4. Ask for a rain check if the store is out of a sale item. They don't expire and you can use them at any Walgreens.
