Walgreens Deals 1/25/09 -1/31/09

Woo-Hoo! Free after rebate printer cartridge refill this week. Regular price for black ink is $10 and color $15. The ad makes it look like it is for black or color refills.

For several years, I have refilled black cartridges at Walgreens with good success. Not so much with color. A manager told me that to get the best results with color, you need to take the cartridge directly from your printer to the store, or put it in a baggie to keep it from drying out. I haven't tried either method. Check here to find the store closest to you that does refills, and if they refill your cartridge brand.


Remember:
1. Count the number of items you have and the number of coupons you are using. (A register reward is considered a coupon.) The register will not accept more coupons than items you're purchasing. Purchase fillers as needed.
2. Always give the cashier your coupons in groups, first Register Rewards, then manufacturer's coupons, and then Walgreens' coupons. (Note: I added Register Rewards to the order of coupons.)
3. If you use a Register Reward for the same brand of products, you will not receive another Register Reward. If you use a Register Reward for a different brand of products, you will receive a Register Reward.
4. Ask for a rain check if the store is out of a sale item. They don't expire and you can use them at any Walgreens.
5. Coupon notation: date and SS , RP or P&G, refer to what insert to find the coupon. SS is SmartSource, RP is RedPlum, P&G is Procter & Gamble
