My P-D Sunday paper has a Calvert's Express ad. There is a coupon for a $14.99 oil change that expires 8/31/11.

ReplyDeleteBefore Lee Enterprises purchsed the P-D, somehow ad revenue figures had become known to a few locals, according to my brother. It was surmised that anyone who wanted a free paper could receive a copy and the P-D could run in the black. Today, the P-D is forced to compete against a slew of free papers and magazines which seem available almost everywhere. Of course the P-D could go the RFT route and run those back of the issue ads.

ReplyDeleteAnon-- I would call the paper! If you bought them all from one store, they should know the distributor isn't putting all of the thuds in the paper. What are they doing with them? It is important for all papers to get them, since the advertisers pay for these things to be put in! As an advertiser, I would accept nothing less than what I paid for
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous - I agree with Tonya. Call the paper. If you have home delivery and you're short an insert, they will contact the carrier and have them deliver it to you.
ReplyDeleteWhen I purchase papers at the store, I always thumb through them and make sure they have all the inserts in them. I'm not going to pay for soemthing that is not there.
Both times that my home delivered paper has been shorted one of the inserts, I called and they delivered another paper to me. Unfortunately both of the extra copies of the paper were also short the same insert I was already missing.
