Menu Plan Monday - 3/25/13
Baseball seasons gets into full swing for my son this week. For the next 5-6 weeks, he has three late afternoon games a week, and they are all on weeknights.
I've been keeping my quick and easy meal ideas for baseball season. It's a challenge to get something on the table after games, when everyone is hungry, and I know my son has homework yet to do.
I punted tonight's quick meal idea. I've never seen baselines and pitcher mounds shoveled before. I have a feeling Taco Soup will be put off for a week or two, also. If this mess melts by mid-week, I'm sure there will be plenty of water sitting on the fields.
Monday: Baked Mostaccioli, Garlic Bread
Tuesday: Left Over Roast Beef Dinner
Wednesday: Taco Soup
Thursday: Left Over Taco Soup
Friday: Pork Chops, Long Grain & Wild Rice, Frozen Veggie, Applesauce
Saturday: Hamburgers, Fries, Frozen Veggie
Sunday: Ham, Baked Potatoes, Broccoli with Hollandaise Sauce, Fresh Pineapple, Hard Rolls
What's for dinner at your house this week?

Those are going to be some interesting baseball games this week:)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure there will be time to reschedule them. They played in a tournament St Patricks day weekend. I've already froze my .... off sitting in the bleachers.
DeleteI still have several yrs of sitting in the cold watching baseball games. I feel your pain. One mothers day a couple yrs back I sat with my winter coat, boots and 2 blankets on and was still cold. Bless their hearts for the commitment they give to playing. I love watching my son play though so in the long run worth it. Good luck with your season. We have out first game/tourney in April. Praying for warmer weather.
DeleteWe just have the one left at home. My husband and I are counting down the days to being empty nesters. Not that we don't have great kids, we are just ready for them (and us) to move on.
DeleteI won't miss asking - if they have done their homework, running them around town, or worrying when they are old enough to drive themselves, waiting line to see the teacher at parent teacher conferences, PTA meeting or even band concerts. But, I will miss watching the sports they were involved in.
Mine only one is turning 19 next month. He still lives at home but comes and goes as he pleases. It is bittersweet. On one hand I do not miss having to watch for school closures but boy I do miss those snow days. There were so much fun. I asked if he wanted to go out and build a snowman yesterday but he declined :{
DeleteI've been trying to eat at least one thing every day from my doubles/triples stockpile. Lots of sausage and rice for me these days!
ReplyDeleteMine will be fruit cups and cereal :) Renee
