do you think dierbergs or schnucks will double this week?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. I usually gets leaked somehow a few days in advance & I haven't heard anything. I hope I'm wrong. Schnucks put up the new ad online - Tuesday evening. We will know then.
DeleteI got my Schnucks ad in the mail today and no super doubles/triples. :( I was really hoping with all the credit card issues, they would do a big promotion to help bring in more business.
DeleteI just checked Schnucks and Dierbergs both online and there is NO mention of a double or triple coupon event :-(
DeleteSomeone is suing Schnucks for 5 million dollars because of this credit card issue. I am afraid that there won't be any super coupon days for awhile.

ReplyDeleteThe last time the did Super Coupons, they got a lot of nasty feed back on Facebook from people who had their CC/DC numbers hacked. It seemed to upset people even more that they were promoting coupons when they hadn't addressed the CC/DC issue. Just form the way Schnucks operates, I think they think if they just lay low this whole issue will just blow over and everyone will forget about it. There are some people who vow never to step foot in a Schnucks again.
I suspect they won't be doing any super doubles or triples at least until they see what fines result from the breach. The potential $1000 fine x 2.4M can't be easy to swallow.
DeleteThat is so sad. I will always shop at Schnucks...they were always my favorite even before super coupon events. In my opinion, they have the best and most fresh produce, which is really important to me. Wow....I'm keeping up hope that after this blows over they will WOW us and have another amazing event. I really feel terrible for them...I still have only gone to Schnucks and both my husband and I had our cards compromised. It could happen anywhere and it does happen other places...maybe not on such a massive scale...but we understand and still support them (even though I'm using cash still ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat's really sad is that the company responsible for the breach is the company that Schuncks HIRED and PAID to do a job that ultimately they failed at.While I do believe that Schuncks should have told the community as soon as they knew, I'm not sure of when that is.It seems apparent it wasn't when it first happened back in December.

It's funny how everyone is turning their backs on Schnucks, Dierbergs has always been a HUGE ripoff to me. I'm always amazed how much more expensive there products are compared to Schnucks....and people think Schnucks was being dishonest for not coming forward sooner. I personally think Dierbergs is dishonest for charging so much more than other grocery stores. IMHO
