    1. It come from a reader that lives in Troy. She gets a local paper on Sunday that includes the Schnucks ad for the coming week.

    2. Does she give you a copy of the whole ad? That would be great info to share! :)

    3. I have a few pictures of the ad. I can't post the ad early, but I will try to get match ups done before Wednesday.

    4. That would be great or sooner! :) Thankful for all your hard work always! I have to shop at night because of personal situation so I will be headed out late tomorrow night and hope to be checking out at midnight. If I don't go then all the shelves will be cleared by Wednesday night at the Schnucks I go to in Washington, MO. It's bummer that its the closest one to my location at 30 minutes away and the next one is about 45 minutes away.:(

    5. I find the ad early in the local paper. My paper is St Charles paper which is free and filled with coupons SS,RP and any others that are out the week before.

    6. Cheryl - What day does your local St Charles paper come out?

  2. Ive heard they are doubling, tripling and doubling up to .75 cents. Does anyone know for sure? I don't want to organize the wrong coupons! :-) Either way, I'm one happy momma as my kids are eating me out of the house this summer.

  3. Schnucks is now part of Saving Star and there is a .50 cent back when you buy one any flavor 4.5 OZ or larger Chex Mix. Just link your eScrip Community card to Saving Star and present it when checking out.

    1. Hi Kathi - What more can you tell me? I visited SavingStar's web site and entered St Louis zip codes and Schnucks isn't listed as a participating store.

    2. Jeri,
My mom found this a few weeks ago using their app on her iphone. I haven't looked at the website only the app. Instead of looking at the list by zip code, look through the list of all stores and go to the s's. Schnucks is listed there. I personally have not used it at Schnucks yet but my mother has.

It seems like there has been a lot of savings apps lately, almost that it's getting to hard to keep up with them. I just wish Ibotta would work with Schnucks. That one has been the most successful for me lately.

    3. I dont see Schnucks in the list of participating stores on the website:

    4. I couldn't find it on the website either but it is on my SavingStar app for my phone and I was able to link my eScrip community card to it using the app. I personally have not redeemed an offer yet through Schnucks but my mother has.

It does show Schnucks under my participating stores when I log into my account on the website.

    5. Kathi - Are you located in the Northern Illinois/Wisconsin area? I'm not seeing it on my app at all.

    6. No I'm in St. Louis. I can still see it under the s's on my app. It's funny weird that you all can't find. I did download the app several months ago and linked Schnucks to it about 3 weeks ago.

  4. I did a search "savingstar schnucks". Everything associated with it was listed in Northern IL. From what I could find it seems as though it is something new in Schnucks in that area.

    1. I wonder since those northern stores were Krogers, and Krogers and Kroger did SavingStar, if it's not a continuation of that program.

But, If they offer it in that market, why not St Louis. Maybe we should start asking the question on their Facebook page.

    2. Pretty sure that I read that Hillinger's(sp?) changed their name to Schnucks in that area recently, maybe that might have something to do with it?

    1. Thanks! I dont see any great matchups other than the Chex Mix. Hope there will be some good unadvertised prices.

    2. That ad scan says it is for the Wentzville,MO store only.... Do you think it possible that the St Louis Metro area will get a different coupon offer?

    3. I sure hope not. I guess we will know when Schnucks posts their ad.

    1. I was looking on Schnucks App and not SavingStar. I'm going to give it a try.

  7. CJ-that's just what I thought when I looked at it.

Anonymous - I'm in STL too but our stores do not participate in the program at this time. It's northern IL stores.

  8. I was waiting for Schnucks to finally double up to a dollar. I have so many coupons that are going to expire without the super double dollar. Why would they triple up to 75 cents and now only double up to 75 cents??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It cost the stores a lot of money to double or triple coupons - they don't get reimbursed from the manufacturer more then the face value of the coupon. We are lucky the stores have even had these double/triple coupon promotions.

      Delete
    2. I agree! I've been holding on to so many coupons hoping for doubles. I think it's more frustrating because up until the credit card issues, we were getting on board with there super doubles/triples schedule. Now it's just not so predictable. I wish Dierbergs would FINALLY step up and do something for a change. I am grateful for the doubles up to .75 cents, but wish I could have used my $1.00 coupons.

    3. I am grateful, but at the same time I am disappointed because I don't even have very many coupons less than a dollar. I was saving up and now its an even worst deal with only doubling up to 75 cents. I also found out my credit card was used in North Carolina about a week ago and I never had any trouble with the cyber attack before now. I am still leery about using anything other than cash at Schnucks. I think it is partially Dierbergs fault. They need to step up and do a little competition. They could say hey now we are going to double up to a dollar this week and they would get most of the buisness. Also, in other states these deals are going on all the time to get people in the door. It would be great just have something we as consumers can count on. Maybe even 50 cents doubled all the time. That would be awesome!

    4. The schnucks I use in Washington, MO always doubles up to .50 so I guess we have it made as I hear most in the STL area only do up to .40.

      Delete
    5. Yes, you do have it made with doubles up to $0.50. That extra dime would really make a difference.

  9. I second that!!
Have we even heard if Dierbergs was going to follow?

    1. Not yet. I've been in contact with Corp. and they are suppose to get back to me when they decide if they are going to Super Double or not. Hopefully I'll hear soon. I'm working on match ups now.

  10. Schnucks FB comment to the question on Savingstar coming to STL;

Carole, we have not heard of plans expanding Savingstar to STL at this time, but we will forward your request for this to the proper department.

    1. Thanks! But, how can that be. Northern Illinois Coupoining tells her readers to use their e-script card to register. How can it work for some stores and not others?

      http://www.northernillinoiscouponing.com/2012/09/19/savingstar-is-now-at-schnucksloglihilander-2/

I think we download the app, register our e-script cards and see what happens.

    2. I had read that article yesterday that's what made me ask the question on FB. I don't know how it's possible, wish I did. I posted the question and that was their response to it. I'm with you though, put our card in the app and see what happens.

One thought that just came to me.....
Is it possible that different areas have some kind of different store code? Kind of like banks have their own number for individual branches and the chain they are?

  11. I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow with the Chex Mix. It will either work, or it won't, but there is no harm in linking up the card... Unless Schnucks allows another breach. Maybe that was the cause of the breach, attempting something new & someone snuck in as they were linking SavingStar.

    1. LOL! I can just see it now. Your e-scripts card with Savingstar loaded on it is scanned, alarms go off, security comes running from every where, and they think you are the cause of all their problems.

    3. If I don't reply tomorrow, with an outcome, that means security has caught me and threw me in jail. Anyone have a get out of jail free coupon I can borrow just in case? Not sure where they throw West County couponers.

I just noticed that a product named Ellio's pizza save $.75 when you buy 1 Only at Schnucks, CVS

    4. Bob - where did you see the $0.75/1 Ellio's pizza coupon. I can't find Ellio's on Schnucks app.

    5. The only place I'm finding per the Ellio's website is Arnold, Mo Walmart. It's mainly a northeast product.
