  1. so for 200 dollars, you get a plate? Wow, I would be scared to use it!

  2. I was thinking I might earn a new Mug by the middle of June!

  3. I thought the same thing about the Knife promo, but we have to remember that most shoppers are not like us. I watch people in line with $200+ totals every time I am there. They were "earning" those knives in 1 or 2 trips. I do like that dinnerware, but the $5.99 price point looks better than the stamp option.

  4. Plus you still have to pay 2.99 for each piece even with the stamps.

  5. I just gave away my stamps when I was there. I knew I would never have enough to actually get anything from it. People were generally very pleased for the bonus stamps from me. Maybe if you are lucky you get a few extras like that and you could get a plate for only $150! haha

  6. It sounds like fun ! As a child of the 50's there was always a dish give away at the store. The whole family collected the stamps to get Mom her gifts.

    1. My oldest son took with him the silverware my mom collected from a grocery promotion when I was in high school. Yes, it was my first set of silverware too.

  7. Remember S&H Green Stamps? I remember *shopping* in the S&H store with my mom's stamps. Good times!

    1. I loved shopping with my mom and getting to paste the green stamps in the booklet :) I remember getting freebies at the gas station too like towels and glasses.

    2. My favorite gas station freebie was the Dinosaur Soap at Sinclair. We used to beg my dad to get gas at Sinclair, but it must have been a penny or two more expensive, so Dinosaur Soap was a real treat.

  8. I think we got a whole set of glasses with Peanuts characters on them from a gas station. They were great!

  9. I do not understand why you are all so negative about this promotion. I shop at shop-n-save on a regular basis and if I can get a few free bowls out of the deal why not. I do not expect to replace all of my dinner settings but extra cereal bowls are always welcomed.

    1. I only have enough stamps for one piece but I'm glad to get a free bowl for shopping that I would have done anyway. Thanks, Shop N Save!

    2. I was in Big Lots in Ballwin yesterday and they have these dishes. The bowls were $2 a piece.
