Coupon Preview - 11/15/09

Sunday's St Louis Post-Dispatch has three coupon inserts - a SmartSource, a Red Plum and a General Mills. And, don't forget to look in Parade Magazine; it has a few coupons too.

Some of my favorite coupons this week:
  • B1G2 Mars Candy Bars
  • $2 off Duracell Batteries, 24 ct. TARGET COUPON
  • $2 off Bic Soleil Refillable Razor or Cartridge Refills
  • $2 off Kahiki, family size
  • $150 off Duracell Batteries, 8 ct. TARGET COUPON
  • $1.25 off 3 Ragu
  • $1 off I Can't Believe it's Not Butter Sticks
  • $1 off Reynolds Oven Bags
  • $1 off Scotch-Brite Cook Top or Stainless Cleaner Starter Kit
  • $1 off Energizer Batteries
  • $1 off Marcal Small Steps Napkins
  • $1 off Wonderful Pistachios
  • $1 off Velveeta
  • $1 off Kahiki, single server or egg roll
  • $1 off Freschetta Pizza
  • $1 off Mrs. Smith or Edwards Pie
  • $1 off Fisher Product
  • $1 off 2 Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • .60 off Skippy Peanut Butter
  • .50 Helva Good! Dip or Cheese
  • .50 off Riceland Rice
  • .40 Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers
  • .35 off Freshlike Vegetables

In Parade Magazine:
  • $2 on any product from the Fragrance Collection by Glade
  • $1 off Nivea Body Wash for Women
  • $1 off 2 Ore-Ida Steam 'n Mash Potatoes or Ore-Ida Hash Browns

Remember: You want multiple coupons to use when a product is at a rock bottom price. When it's a good coupon insert week, I purchase 4 or 5 papers and sometimes acquire more. At first, I thought it was crazy to spend money to save money. But I've always saved much more than my $1 investment.

DEAL$ and Dollar Tree sell the Sunday Post-Dispatch for $1. The early edition is published on Saturday and it includes all the coupon inserts. And they usually still have Sunday papers left on Monday. Find the Deal$ or Dollar Tree closest to you.

    1. Hey Jeri - I meant to let you know that I noticed Marcal at SNS a week or two ago. I don't know which products they are carrying yet, but I know the Marcal products can be hard to find.

Looking like another great coupon week!

    2. Yup I was surprised to see Marcal at SNS. Still no store around here sells the single roll toilet paper, I have a whole stack of the free coupons. $1 off isnt enough to make me buy the larger packages. Yeah for the $2 Glade coupon, I never can have enough candles! The $1 Kahiki coupon is good too, waiting for a good sale (and freezer space!) to pair it with my B3G1 free coupon.

    3. Staci & CJ - I heard some parts of the county got coupons for Free napkins. I was dissappointed when our was for just $1. I hope SNS has the napkins too. I've used my Marcal coupons at Dierbregs on the napkins. Napkin coupons are hard to come by and with this coupon and a sale they are an OK deal. Now, I'm hoping for better deal at SNS.

    4. I checked and found the the Mrs. Smith/Edwards MQ is for 30 oz. and larger size. Most places put the smaller Mrs. Smith 27 oz. pies on sale and Edwards ones are a little pricey. Last year, I got my 'small' $5 turkey at Deal$ and mostly purchased (overpriced) Mrs. Smith pies to reach the $10 requirement.

    5. kas - Thanks for the heads up. I'll be watching this coupon very carefully in my match-ups.

    6. Jeri- Although Deal$ has the 37 oz. Mrs. Smith Pumpkin Pie on sale now, last I heard, one can't use MQ. Is this still the same policy?

If you're on the look out for an electric knife, Deal$ has a Proctor Silex for $10 in the current ad.

    7. kas - The last I knew Deal$ doesn't accept coupons. I pick up a few extra papers there every Monday. I'll ask if the policy has changed.

    8. Mid-Towne IGA has their Thanksgiving ad up and looks like it's the current low price pie leader.

Sara Lee Frozen Pie 24-37 oz. @$2.50
      Lay's Potatoes Chips 10.5-11 oz. $1.99

While no IGA turkey prices are posted, cheap turkey prices are about $.35 a lb. with brand names like Honeysuckle @$.60 and Butter Ball @$.90 in ads. The real bite is that SnS requires an additional $75 and it seem there are no catalina promos to help.

    9. kas - What's up with SNS and the $75 minimum for the cheap turkey prices? It will be interesting to see if they keep that minimum or reduce it to $50 to match Schnucks and I would imagine Dierbergs.

I'm not impressed with SNS ad this week at all.
