Even though Melissa and Staci are different types of shoppers than I am (healthier and not as coupon crazy) they still saved a ton of money. I think everyone can save tons of money no matter what type of shopper they are.
Thanks, Melissa and Staci for sharing your pics!
Melissa's Pics and Totals
"All told, I did 3 transactions after work on Thursday night for a total of $68 out of pocket. The price before savings was $234!!! What’s most impressive is that many of the items I purchased were not necessarily on sale, but rather some decent staples (rice, beans, tomatoes, etc.) that I needed. And, I know I could have done MUCH better than this had certain items (TP for instance) been in stock; I had a lot of improvising (without corresponding coupons) to do on the fly. Couple that with the fact that I only get one Sunday paper. I’m sure with multiple papers this total could have been greatly reduced, but it’s simply too much for me to juggle being new to couponing! So, for coupon-naysayers that say results like this aren’t possible without going “coupon crazy” stockpiling thousands of coupons...sorry, folks-you’re mistaken!
Just had to share. It took me forever to fall asleep last night after this major coupon high! "

"Here’s two shots of my two trips from this morning. For what I bought, I feel pretty good about it. Would have been better with Entertainment Qs, but I haven’t bought any of the new books yet. I ended up spending $45.06 and have $15 in catalinas for my next shopping trip. I tend not to buy a lot of prepared foods/meals."
So YOU'RE the one who bought up all the Cottonelle?!! lol. All I got was a rain check!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job, by the way! Definately inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI feel quilty beging able to buy Cottonelle when I know others weren't.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!!! If you have a Walgreens near you, stop by and pick up the Entertainment book today - they have a $10 off coupon in their weekly ad. So, if you are making other purchases you can use up some of your register rewards. I went last night, bought a book, the Almay foundation and eyeshadow, four cans of tomato soup and two Pantene trial size shampoos. Used up all of my register rewards that were going to expire, the coupon for Pantene and paid 97 cents for it all! :)
ReplyDeleteTtania - Great job shopping! Pocket change shopping at it's best.
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever shop at SNS on $10 off day or for the big Catalina deals, because I dont need to buy lots at at once just for myself. But I love hearing about everyone's great deals! Way to go!
