Saved 88% This Week

I didn't shop much this week because I didn't have much time. I don't think I would have gone the the grocery store at all, but I was getting low on toilet paper. Desperately low. The rest of the family was getting a little nervous. I didn't see what the problem was - we have boxes of Kleenex I picked up for free last winter.

  1. I just went to the CVS in O'Fallon, IL and got a $1 ECB on a 1 gallon milk purchase. This makes the price of milk $1.79 after ECB.

  3. Jeri - We were extremely low on tp, too! What is the deal with these guys? I see absolutely nothing wrong with using kleenex every once in a while. =)

Alas, I too ended up at SNS to buy Cottonelle! Just wish I was closer to the Crestwood store. No $10/50 for me.

  4. Kleenex will clog the toilet/plumbling system..it does NOT break apart like toilet paper. The plumbing costs aren't worth the savings!!

  5. Hi TB - Great price for milk. We never get ECB's for milk on this side of the river.

  6. Hi Janet - No $10 off $50 this coming week. I wonder if we are going to be down to only once a month on the $10 off $50. Hope you had a great time at the lake.

  7. Hi Staci - After Denise's comment maybe we should be concerned. Thanks, Denise for the info.

I really hadn't planned on using Kleenex for TP. Sometimes when my husband or son "wants" something, I tell them it can wait until it's on sale. I think, they think I'm going to do that with TP, too.

I tell my family the same thing (about waiting till something goes on sale.) I started couponing and following your blog about three weeks ago. My girls now "play" coupons and when you go to their "store", they always give you money back. :-)

    Training them early! LOL

  9. I've been getting the $4 packs of Angel Soft at Walgreens using several of the $3 Secret RRs. I am now well stocked on tp!
My only grocerying this week was a few items at Dierbergs to use up a $5 catalina, and a few things at SNS - seeing .48 carmel apples was enough to get me in the store.

  10. Hi Kelly in West County - Welcome! I've had so many Kelly's comment, I didn't realise you were a newbie. I just thought one of the Kellys were now adding their location.

How fun your girls use coupons in play!

  11. Hi CJ - I thought about those carmel apples. Are they any good?

  12. Jeri - They are delicious! I look forward to carmel apple season every year! I may have to stop at SNS tonight to pick up a few more before the sale ends. They are usually .99 or $1 each.
