If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been awhile:
1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons

If you buy something at Aldi you are not please with, they have a double guarantee. If for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with any product, they will replace the product AND refund your money. More info HERE.

My 12 yr. old son will be so glad to have grapes again! I'm looking forward to the blueberries. I wish the pineapples were .99 but still not a bad price.

Jeri, I've been meaning to let you know the results of my freezing pineapple experiment. Works great! I froze it in chunks. When thawed, the texture was pretty much just like fresh!

  2. Jeri,

I was hoping after your menu post that I would see pineapple in the Aldi post. Yeah, I am so tired of apples. I want grapes and pineapple. I will definitely be going to Aldi's this week. Thanks so much.

  3. Thanks, Kelly for passing on your results of freezing pineapple. I thought I would freeze some a few week's ago when they were $0.99, but we ate all three.

Hi Rhonda - You probably can get a sneak peek of the Aldi produce picks with my menu plan everyweek. :)

  4. The blueberries at my Aldi (W. Florissant and 270) were organic. At $1@ I bought 5.

  5. HI Rachel - Thanks, this is the first time I'm aware of that Aldi has had organic produce.

  6. The oranges they sell in the bag were some of the best oranges we've ever had! Hoping for another good batch when I go tomorrow.

  7. Went yesterday and got a TON of fruit. It was so good! Made a giant fruit salad, sorta reminded me of summer. AH! Blueberries were great. Strawberries were alright. Grapes were awesome! I haven't had grapes in a while since they've been so pricey!

  8. Hi Anonymous - I was tempted to buy strawberries. I usually avoid them this time of year because so many times they taste like nothing.
