Post-Dispatch Coupon Preview - 2/06/11

There are two coupon inserts in this Sunday's St Louis Post-Dispatch  - (1) SmartSource  and (1) Redplum.

I'm disappointed we didn't get the Sargento or Kraft cheese coupons that was in the coupon preview.  But, at least we got the Nivea and Garnier coupons.

NO $10 off $50 at Shop 'n Save this week

Here are my favorite coupons in the Post-Dispatch.

SmartSource
  • $3 off Bausch & Lomb Soothe Eye Drops
  • $1 off John Frieda Hair Care
  • $1 off Colgate Sensitive or ProcClinical
  • $1 off Purina Cat or Kitten Chow
  • $1 off Marie Callender's Bakes
  • .75 off 2 Scotch-Brite Scrub Sponge, Scour Pads, Dishwand or Dishwand Refills
  • .50 off any Mentos item
Red Plum
  • B1G1 Nivea Lip Care
  • $1 off Nivea Body Wash
  • $1 off Garnier Fructis Hair Care
  • $1 off Scope Mouthwash
  • $1 off Smart Start Cereal
  • $1 off Rhodes Rolls

Remember: You want multiple coupons to use when a product is at a rock bottom price. When it's a good coupon insert week, I purchase 4 or 5 papers and sometimes acquire more. At first, I thought it was crazy to spend money to save money. But I've always saved much more than my investment.

Sam's Club is still selling the Sunday Post-Dispatch at a reduced price, $1.50. Dollar Tree and DEAL$ no longer sell the paper.

  2. What's the deal? Why hasn't SNS had a $10 off $50 in so long?

  3. Hi Marcella,

I am sooooooooo sad with no -$10/$50 lately =( But thank goodness I have a stockpile/freezer to make up for it since there has been such a dry spell. With the OEP/G. Beef deal this week I was able to put a few packs of burger back in the freezer. Next week is a little better if you are going to be needing ConAgra items ;) (insert develish smiley face here "cough" its a buy $25 get $10 back) HTH =) As I mentioned in the SNS forum the OR Popcorn might be hot and to gather your coupons for some cheap popcorn. =) HTH

  4. Hi Marcella - It's just my hunch, but I think we will be seeing a $10 off $50 oly once a month this year.

When I first started couponing, SNS had a $10 off $50 every week, then it seemed like they would skip the first week of the month. Last year it most common was twice a month. I think thye are trying to wean their customers off $10 off $50.

Thanks Janet for the heads up!

  6. I live near the Crestwood SNS so I go there most of the time. I can still use the Sappington coupons but how long will that last?

    Boooo.

Also last week I noticed that coffee is no longer a pound of coffee but something like 12oz in a bag. I hate the sneeaky price increases like that. If you charge more, charge more. Don't make the packaging smaller. That REALLY bothers me.

  7. Hi Marcella - I just posted SNS and has I hit publish, I thought - I hope they are still matching SFM.

My favorite packaging shrinkage is the 1/2 gallon if ice cream. I swear they get smaller ever time I buy ice cream. If they keep it up the 1/2 gallon packages will be as small as Ben & Jerry's pints.
