  2. Anyone know if it stacks? I am planning on buying some big ticket items fridge at lowes and a washer and dryer possibly at sears, close to $2000

  3. @Tonya

Hi Tonya - I checked last years archives and yes, Kohls was on the list last year, but the list of participating cards was only 7 different retailers. I quess it all depends on where you might be shopping is this years lists is better or worse.

Hi Samantha - I haven't done this offer yet, and haven't heard if it stacks.

But, I have done these giftcard deals in the past, and I remember doing them as seperate transactions.

World of warning. If you are doing several back to back transactions, your debit/credit card will probably get denied after 2-3 transactions. (It looks like maybe fraudelent activity). It might be worth stopping at the bank first and getting cash or using different cards.

  5. In the spring I did 3 at at time and it spit out 3 tickets. My Cc froze after 3 transactions and they blocked my acct. I second Jeri's suggestion of getting cash to buy them if you are planning on spending a lot of money in GC.

  6. Or you can call your credit or debit card provider/bank and inform them ahead of time that you will be using your card on the same amount of multiple purchases because you're buying a lot of gift cards by $100 denomination. This worked for me. Transactions went smoothly at the Customer Service where I requested one of the clerk there if I can check out with her so I won't hold up any of their regular check out registers. My thanks to one of the commentors here for this info when Shop N Save did this deal before. :)

  7. Doesn't the ad say only one coupon issued per customer per transaction per day? I didn't even try to do multiple transactions or even more than one $100 transaction because I thought that wasn't allowed. Maybe I'm not understanding what that language means.

  8. @Samantha If you are shopping for a big ticket item at Lowe's don't forget to go to the Post Office FIRST! Why? Get a change of address packet and it will include a discount coupon for Lowe's (as I recall it's 10% off your purchase). Happy shopping!

  9. I rechecked my catalina. It says "limit 1 grocery coupon issuance per customer per day." I'm not seeing how this allows multilple transactions or allows you to get more than one a day.

  10. Last time I did the $100 gift cards at Shop'nSave, I bought Kohl's, Ruby Tuesday, Olive Garden, Cold Stone, & McDonald's. Doesn't the $20 coupon generate with the purchase of ANY restaurant gift card?

  11. I did one $100 transaction last night at the O'Fallon, MO SNS and they had signs up for the catalina deal and had the "one grocery cat per person per day" wording highlighted. If other stores are not enforcing it, that might not be the best location to shop at if you want to try multiple transactions back to back.

  12. Hi All - Thanks for the additional info on "One Catalina per person per day"

If you want to buy more than one it might take some planing of visiting several stores over several days.

  13. @qpons2

Hi qpons2 - Each Giftcard Catalina deals is a little different. Some are limited to the gift card listed and some include all gift card with a few minor exclusions.

I wouldn't count on this one including any that's not listed.

Last year, SNS ran back to back Gift Card Catalina deals. One for $20 and one for $10. The included different cards.

  14. Last year they let you buy up to $500 at once at get 5 $20 cats. But then they only let you spend one cat per transaction.

  15. Janet or anyone, do we know when the next $10/$50 is? Will it be 12/1 or 12/8? I'm thinking of holding off to buy these if there is a $10/$50 on 12/1.

  16. @Julie

Hi Julie - I haven't heard when the next $10 off $50 is, but I did look back at the archives. Last year they had $10 off $50's on the 9th and 16th.

If SNS follows the same pattern, we might see $10/$50's on the 8th and 15th. I'm holding off until the end of the Cat deal to buy gift cards.

  17. Does anyone know if Best Buy gift cards are included? or gas cards? Thank you

  18. @Anonymous

I doubt any card not listed would trigger the Cat.

The info I have is from one of the Cat coupons advertising the deal. They are usually very specific about what triggers the coupon.

  19. I went to my local store (Jerseyville, IL) and they didn't have any Amazon. I was hoping to get $100 a day for a few days for a large purchase I'm going to make there.

Has anyone seen the Amazon cards at their store? We're shopping in the St Louis area this weekend, so would definately stop by different stores to pick up Amazon if they are available.

    Thanks!

  20. In the past the Kirkwood Store has NOT carried Amazon Gift Cards.

  21. Amazon cards were in stock at the Fenton location this morning. I would imagine they'll go quickly.

  22. Sounds like this deal is more restrictive than the previous deal. The Dads and Grad deal was any gift card. I got them for all different types of stores.

  23. @Marcella

Hi Marcella - I looked back at the archives and the $20 Cat last year had even few retailers litsted. It looks like every Gift Card Catalina is a little different.

  24. I am wondering if it will be good through December 4. The ad and their facebook page is saying through November 26 - and the coupon is no longer available on the coupon network.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Anonymous

I can understand why you are questioning the end date since SNS put on their Facebook page it ends on the 27th.

I have my info from reader KC. She receive a Catalina advertiseing the deal and the end date stated 12/4. I feel confident that a $100 Gift Card purchase will trigger the Catalina through the 4th.

  26. Add - I see the actual cat print out that advertised it says through 12/4

  27. Mine didn't print tonight......just an fyi....bought 4 - $25 amazon cards around 10pm

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sammy - They should be printing. I bought $100 in Office Max cards at 11:45 pm and they printed. I did a few transactions. All of them printed.

I don't see the offer in next weeks ad. I hope it is still going on. I promised some friends who need some help right now I could get them some free groceries. So I will give them the ones I got tonight. But I wanted to get some for me too. :)

  29. @Sammy

Hi Sammy - Sorry to hear you had problems with the Cat printing.

For these deals that aren't in the ad, Customer Serive only sometimes will/can fix the problem. You can call Catalina Marketing and they will send you our coupon in the mail.

See my post: What to Do If Your Catalina Coupon Doesn't Print

  30. They ran this deal last week also and it was not in there ads-same cards offered. Last week you were able to buy 5 at a time. I have $60 this week to spend and I am hoping it's $10 OFF Thursday!I also got an additional 10 off "Catalina" Q for my next purchase of Gift Cards from Shop and Save. Bonus!

  31. Jeri, They were in the ad last week - when Sammy's didn't print - and so customer service should help.

Anonymous - Are you saying you bought $500 of cards at a time and 5 catalinas printed?

    ReplyDelete
  32. It still worked today - Sunday, November 27. Bought $100 in gift cards - and Catalina popped out. :)

  33. TYVM Anonymous =) Have read elsewhere that others are having trouble and I will not get out til tomorrow. Which cards did you purchase today? TIA

  34. Yes, my friend went in and bought 5 Sears cards and got 100$$. I personally bought 3 at one time. I was just at my Shop and Save and the ads have been pulled down off the displays. It had an end date of 11/26. I was hoping they had extended it. My ad from last week, the deal was not listed and the checker was clueless about which cards were in the promo and she had to take all my cards to check with her-even though I was sure they were. I got the Catalina for this week, $10 with a P&G 30 purchase. It isn't specific on the products though.

  35. Hi All - I just posted this week's SNS deals. No $10 off $50 for this Thursday. I'm going to wait until late in the week to buy giftcards - hoping for a $10/$50 on the 8th.

I'm not sure why SNS thinks this deal is over. Everyone who got a Cat advertising the deal tells me the deals is states as valid through the 4th.

  36. Good Morning to All.

    Hi Jeri,

I hope you had a Great Thanksgiving as well as everyone else =)

What had me double cking the GC deal was the wording on the bottom of the ad as it stated "SNS reserves the right to discontinue or limit this offer in whole or any time, in its sole discretion". I had never read the fine print before this one and it caught my attention. Hopefully Wednesday we will have some details into next week =) Boy wouldn't that be a good one, a $20 Cat to use on a Thursday =) I have thought about rolling the $20 Cat onto the P&G deal and then receiving the $10 GC Cat back. Wonder has anyone tried this yet????? Please let us know =)

  37. @Janet

Hi Janet - Yes, we had a great holiday weekend at our house. I hope you had a good one too.

I was thinking about doing the same think with the giftcard cat and P&G deal.

  38. Good Morning to All.

    Hi Jeri,

I was able to make a quick stop at SNS yesterday. I bought 4 Sears GCs and No Cat printed. CS stated the promo ended on the 27th. I am not sure that a call to Catalina will help or not since the wording in the ad was stated the way it was. HTH =)

  39. Hi Jeri,

Janet again--I just read an email from my GF in MO and she stated she had went in after I did and did receive the Cats. I am hoping that maybe there was a problem with Catalina when I made my purchase. I will stop in today and get the problem corrected and I do have a copy of the ad print that does state is goes til the 4th to back me up somewhat. HTH =) Will post when I know more. =)

Hi Janet - This is a real mystery of what's going on with this Cat. I too am hearing some people have purchased the last few days and recevied the Cat and others not. I have an email into SNS, hopefully I will hear back from them with more info.
