Saved 70% This Week

I had a very strange shopping week. I didn't do much shopping last week, so on Saturday I stopped at Ace Hardware, Sappington Farmers Market and Deirbergs.  There were some great deals I didn't want to miss.  When I heard about the predicted storm, I was very happy I had gone on Saturday.

Splurge Funds: $229.40

For those who don't read my blog on a regular basis, my splurge funds are the difference between what I've actually spent and my $50 budget. I use it for those items I never find on sale, don't have coupons for, or when I'm over budget.

  1. I did weird shopping this week too. We went early Monday morning to Dierbergs and bought pears, bananas and the Land of Lakes. We went Target for a few items and some DiGiorno. Other than that and Diet Coke, I have stayed in. I am hoping to get to Schnucks tomorrow. It looks like it is going to be a little warmer so I will venture out. Have a great weekend.

  3. Oh I am so sick of this snow! My birthday is the first day of spring and boy oh boy I can't wait until my b-day this year!

I love Dierbergs as well and generally they ave fairly coupon friendly. I love that they have such a good selection of local products and organics.

  4. HI Rhonda - I was hoping to get to Schnucks for Malt-0-Meal and Target for DiGiorno and cheese today. But, more snow? I'm tired of cleaning off the car.

Hi Ina - Ace Hardware had GE CFL bulbs for $1 thorugh the end of January. I used the $1 coupon in 1/09/11 SS. That coupon doesn't exprie until March. Keep you eyes open, there will probably be a good deal on GE Bulbs before the coupon expires.

  5. Hi All,

I did mostly some berry picking this week too. Not much from each store just what was on sale/Free/MM =)

Nora--March 20th? Is that the first day of Spring? and your B-Day? I am 7 days after =) Pure Aries here =)!!! And sometimes it bites me in the b***. Are you Pisces or Aries? I forget the date line. And on the bad thought-it has snowed on my birthday before =(

Also, when DH and I were at Lowes they have a 5 pk of CFLs for $.99. Yep 5 for $.99. Not free but very cheap. =)
