ReplyDeleteGood work!
ReplyDeleteHi All - Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! I have missed seeing what you have purchased.
ReplyDeleteI have missed these posts Jeri. I love seeing what you buy each week. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI too have missed these posts. I don't know why I find it so interesting to see what other people buy. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a question about how you figure your totals. I have noticed in the past you have included rebates you received and deducted that from your total spent. How do you handle gift cards? Sometimes I do rebates where I get a gift card instead of cash as payment. Would you deduct the dollar amount of the card from that week's totals when you get it or would you wait until you bought something with the card and then not count the card's value in your OOP?
I have been meaning to start keeping track of my weekly spending for the last few months, but still haven't started...
Hi All - Life got so buy this past spring, I was lucky to get to the grocery store to pick up a gallon of milk and a head of lettuce, let alone take pictures. I just got out of the habit of coming home and taking picutes of what I bought. I'm hoping to get in "good habits" again and continue the post. I took like to see what people bought.
ReplyDeleteJB - I wait until I get the rebate or giftcard back to deduct it from my weekly totals. The same as RR, ECBs or Cats. I don't figure them into my totals until I spend them. I think keeping track of weekly spending keeps my for running for ever deal out there.
On another note - I've removed the reply feature from comments. I found out some people couldn't leave a message after that feature was added. I'm hoping removing it will solve the problem. I like it, but not as much as having people leave a comment in the first place.
I've been missing these deals too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...I miss this from your blog!
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering where these have been too....glad to see it again!
ReplyDelete"Welcome Back!" ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat job!! I love seeing what other people buy. I'm often jealous of their deals but it gives me ideas and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm one of the few couponers who calculate their savings on the front end of the deal - taking the value of the coupon, RR, ECB or rebate out of the price of the item I intially bought, instead of calculating the savings when I use the promo afterward. Like if I spend $2 on toothpaste, get a $2 RR and then use that $2 RR on a $4 pack of toilet paper, I'd rather figure that makes the toothpaste free for 100% savings rather than saying I saved 50% on the t.p. I am all about the freebie!! Either way I saved the same amount but its easier for me to figure it that way. Other than keeping track of my freebies I dont really calculate my savings, I just buy things that are a good price for me.
Great buys! I for my figuring on the "end" too...my DJ always reminds me not to "double deduct" from my First buy getting a cat and then again when I spend it. But he's a believer now in my couponing ways! Eve
ReplyDeleteHi All - If anyone want to take picutres of what they bought. I would love to post those too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing back. These can be both inspiring and discouraging for me. But, I figure that we all shop at different stores and all of us are able to get different deals.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Keep it up!
