ReplyDeleteThe cashier wouldn't let me do it....she asked me if I planned to use "that" coupon for these (pointing to the coupon book) I said yes. She said "it won't work for these" these are lifesavers, that is for starburst (pointing to the picture) I said it says hear "lifesavers easter candy" she then changed the excuse to "its meant for the bigger candy. I didn't feel like continuing the argument even though the coupon did not specify a size. I just said "you KNOW they don't work?" she said "yes" and I said, oh ok. She then took them away, not even asking if I still wanted them...lol.....oh well, I guess I will have to special order some from the other Walgreens in town...their manager is a couponer too.

ReplyDeleteSammy - I've gotten to the point, when cashiers make up their own rules, I ask to speak to a manager. They don't make up rules when they check me out after that. Maybe she was trying to keep them for herself for when she got off work.
I got 2 little bags of Lifesaver jelly beans with no problems, coupon scanned fine. Got home and found only 1 bag in with my purchases. I guess the cashier kept the other one for herself :(
ReplyDeleteI got the hubba bubba roll tape gum 2/$2 then deducted the $1/2 coupon. made them .50 each. my kids love these.
ReplyDeleteLifesavers jellybean deal now beeps. I tried it at two Wags in South City last night (Tuesday). I didn't bother trying to get them pushed through. Both cashiers argued the coupon was for the larger size.
ReplyDeleteI tried 3 Wags and the first 2 didn't even carrying them. I finally found them and was told Corporate sent out an email they couldnt use that coupon on the jelly beans...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update - I've never seen it done, but I wish Walgreens would post retractions if something in their ad or one of the coupons was a misprint.
