January Sales
History can be a predictor of the future. Based on past years here is my predictions of we might see on sale in January.
Healthy & Diet Foods - Sales go along with New Year Resolutions. Look for the following brand to be on sale: South Beach, Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, Smart Ones, Kashi, Fiber One, Special K and others.
Winter Foods - Soups, pasta sauce, pasta, rice mixes, chili and chili fixings, cocoa, teas, hot cereal
Game Day Foods - Bowl games, playoffs and prepping for Super Bowl parties- soda, chips, dips, snack crackers and frozen snacks
Oatmeal - January is National Oatmeal month, so hopefully we will see some good deals on Quaker this month.
Seasonal Produce - Oranges, Grapefruit, Tangerines, Avocados, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Celery Spinach, Kale, Chard
Winter Health & Personal Care - Cold & Flu Medicines, Cough Syrup and Drops, Vitamins, Weight Loss Supplements, Lip Balms, Lotions, Kleenex
Household Organization & Cleaning Supplies - Everyone wants to get the house organized and back into shape after the holidays, and sale follow what people are doing in their lives.

Just as a heads up..Anyone going after the sale at Shop n Save where you get $5.00 off of meat if you purchase 10 items watch your receipt closely. They are not taking the $5.00 off at the register. I went in this morning and tried to get it at the Collinsville IL SnS and noticed it didnt give me $5.00 off after the transaction was completed. The cashier stated that they could not refund anything and could not apply the bonus in any sort of way and I would have to come back at 6am when the manager is in. So, in that respect I will no longer shop SnS after 10pm even though I work nights and I will watch my receipts very, very, closely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. That situation has to be frustrating. There has to be a manager on duty overnight, but the obviously can't take care of customer problems.

DeletePlease write a complaint letter to Corporate office about this thru their site or much better, at the bottom of your receipt there's a survey thing which you can do and write down your complaints on there. If you leave an e-mail address, someone from SnS should contact you back. I know rules exist for good reasons but ALL SnS store needs to improve a lot on their Customer Service.
