Awesome! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI was also thinking of getting Better Oats Oatmeal. According to Schnuck's App, they are $1/1 so with the 2/24 SS $.75/2 coupon, it should work out to be $.25 each.
Thanks, Carrie! I'll include Better Oats in my next update.
DeleteWow! Love, love, love Schnuck's! Jeri, as always, thanks for all your hard work and match-ups!
ReplyDeleteHello your link to to kraft mayo coupon says walmart on it can it be used at schnucks?
ReplyDeleteAs long as it says manufacturer's coupon on it. If it says store coupon, NO!
DeleteJeri - Yippppeee! Thanks for the head start :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. This seems like a quick one - when it last only three days and starts just one day after it was announced.
DeleteI'll try to do a couple trips tomorrow night in case the weather turns bad again. As usual I have lots of coupons and no freezer space :(
DeleteIf anyone does price checks tomorrow I have a few requests please:
Simply Cranberry chilled juice
Prairie Farms oj 64 oz
Lean Cuisine Salad Additions
Pepperridge Farms Baked Naturals chips
Hormel Completes meals
Barilla ready to eat meals
Tropicana Farmstand juice
Activia yogurt 4 pack
price check with the schnucks app...do an item search or if you have that item click the scanner in the upper right corner.
DeleteHere is what I can find using Schnucks App
DeleteSimply Cranberry - $3.99 unknown size
Prairie Farms OJ - $1.00 (doubt that is the size you're looking for)
Lean Cuisine Salad Additions - $3.99
Pepperidge Farm Baked Naturals Pretzel Thins - $2.99 (closest I could find)
Hormel Compleats - $2.18
Barilla Meals - ??
Tropicana Farmstand - $3.00
Activia - $2.09
Loving Schnucks! Thanks Jeri for the heads-up and the all the work. I picked up my papers this morning and I'm off to do my clipping early so I'm ready for tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteso since the new ad rotation starts this week does that mean these few days are still in the old ad?
ReplyDeleteYes, the ad that came out on Monday 2/25 is good through Tues 3/5.
DeleteI was wondering if someone could tell me the price on Stride ID gum single pack and Hormel Compleats. I'm hoping these might be free after super doubles. Also, the price of Juicy Juice. Thank you.
ReplyDeletestride is $1.39, so $0.39 after coupon
Deletehormel compleats is $2.18, so $0.18 after coupon
I'm using Schnucks App to get these prices. I usually am only taking an educated guess on sizes.
DeleteStride ID gum - $1.25
Hormel Compleats - $2.18
Juicy Juice 6 pack - $2.79
Those two items are free at Dierburgs
DeleteThe coupon in your link for the Dole fruit crisp is $o.75 for 1, making them $0.50 each. Thanks for all the info and match ups!
ReplyDeleteThe it's a printable for 1.00 off 2 fruit snacks, Betty crockery site i think? Found in coupon database. Makes them .88 a box wyb 2
ReplyDeleteYes, I too have found $1/2 coupon in the database, but it's changes and is for $0.60/2 this month.
DeleteThanks Jeri...
DeleteDierbergs is matching!!!!
ReplyDeleteYep!!! I just saw Brittany's comment on Facebook and posted so no one would miss it. It's going to be a fast a furious week. I just hope my Dierbergs ad comes in the mail on Monday.
DeleteThey do have them at Dierberg's. Last week they were $2 each. Don't know about this week, sorry.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a longgggg 3 days. Especially with Dierbergs changing on Tuesday morning. Could make for some more great deals!
The hormel sandwich makers were also $2.18 when I was at the store today. I also saw the grahamfuls and thought I may get them for the kids to try. Also The chapstick is still$1 so use $1/2 from RP 1/27 =free. Spam was $2.99 so $1.99 each wyb 2 after coupon 2/10 SS. not really a great price. I aslo found several things I see you all posted :). If any one knows price of smart balance or el monterey burritos it would be great as I forgot to check those two items...oh and look for Mitchum on clearance for $2 and use the $1/1 2/10 SS i think....
ReplyDeleteuse should use the el monterey product coupon at walmart... its a money maker
DeleteI got a separate Dr. Pepper coupon flyer in my paper today. There's a coupon for 75 cents off 7up TEN/A&W TEN, etc. 2-liters.
ReplyDeleteThey are on sale for $1.50. Makes them free!
Where in your paper...the early Sunday with ads on Sat am or a different one???
Deletethe early sunday
DeleteDoes Schnucks sell Revlon items? I just checked the app on my iphone but nothing was found?? Thanks
ReplyDeleteMy schnucks only sells Maybelline...but Deirbergs sells several cosmetics.
ReplyDeleteStopped at the Webster Groves Schnucks this morning and got $25 worth for $4 :)
ReplyDeleteThe Sesame Street cereal had a shelf tag of $3.19. Is the $1.88 price in an ad somewhere?
Jeri - My 3/3 SS Activia coupon shows $1/1, not $1/2.
Here's a few more price checks:
Oscar Meyer Carving Board $5.19 (with my $1 coup, free coupon and the $1/2 catalina, will be $2.19 for 2)
Barilla ready to eat meals $2.50
Yoplait Simplait yogurt .88
Sunbird Asian seasoning packet $1.09-.80 printable on coupons.com
Snyders peanut butter pretzel sandwiches $3.69
Progresso Recipe Starters $2.49
Thanks everyone for the price checks. Have fun!
Great shopping!
DeleteI'm still seeing Post Sesame Street on the Schnucks App for $1.88. Do you suppose there is some other Post Seasame Street product besides cereal?
My Activia coupon is $1/1 too. Thanks for mentioning it. I'll fix the post.
Thanks for your price info.
Jeri - Maybe the WG store just didnt have the sale tag up yet, I didnt bother to price check. The Post website only shows the Elmo and Cookie Monster cereals. I'll check at Brentwood and/or Kirkwood on the way home tonight.
DeleteI found the sesame street cereal in my twin oaks store yesterday with a shelf tag for $1.88. I did only see the cookie monster and elmo varieties.
DeleteThanks, Cathy!
DeleteI was at Webster. The Elmo cereal had the $1.88 tag. It was not next to the Cookie monster cereal, which was tagged $3.19.
DeleteI went out this morning to start at 6am...my cottleville (St Charles) Schnucks opens at 6am. I have always gone out and come back in there. I have confirmed w/ customer service and many of the casheirs and they have always said, "Sure, you can go out and come back in and do the sale again". This time they were not friendly about it when I came in the 2nd time. I don't mind at all, because I'm thankfull they do these sales. I went to my other Schnucks at Jungerman...and they all said "Sure! We allow you to come back in!"....So I guess it just really matters on the combination of people working and so on and so on....I also went to Deirbergs today...all in all 5 transactions and $200 in SAVINGS :) I was talking to a gentleman that works at Schnucks....he confirmed what I thought about the ad week starting on WED. They did it so that no matter which grocery store tries to have a sale or coupon event...they will be able to start their ad week with a BETTER sale or event. Schucks is so smart......Bring on the Grocer Wars!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy shopping everyone
Jessonica - Great shopping! Go Schnucks :)
DeleteThanks....I am loving my stock pile lately. My husband just got a freezer for our garage! It arrived 2 days ago, so I'm super excited to find any freezer deals. Not that long ago, there was a -$1 any fresh pork coupon. I used it today to get some really nice looking pork steaks for cheap :) Also, I noticed that the OM bacon for $3.99 at schnucks is WAY cheaper than the same bacon at Dierbergs....so I was able to stock up on some for the freezer with the -$1/2 coupons.com that doubled. Funny that the 6 packs of bacon I got today was over half of the money I spent out of pocket!
DeleteAlso, sorry if its posted already, but there is a 0.75 coupon for Heinz home style gravy, 12 oz or larger....the 12 oz jars are only $1.47, makes them free. I LOVE these...they are really good...just last night we used some and did salsbury steak and mashed potatoes:)
Now I'm organizing and putting together some bins of things I can give to family.
I agree, BRING ON THE GROCER WARS!!!! This is too much fun!
DeleteJessonica - Good timing on the freezer. March is Frozen Food Month. I agree the Heinz gravy is good. I use it for mashed potatoes when I make meatloaf.
DeleteI also had the same issue at Cottleville. I've always been able to check out and come back in for the second trip. Today was quite the experience. I even had the "Manager" tell me that I should not come back in. Whoa!!! I'm following up with Corporate tomorrow and the GM Greg to see what is going on. I was so embarrassed as she kept going on and on in at the front of the store when people were passing. I might have to avoid Cottleville. I love Harvester. They are SO NICE and helpful. Just venting. Thanks for listening. /Blair
DeleteWe are always glad to listen to a rant. I hope you do follow up with corporate. Let us know what was said.
DeleteI understand if they only allow one shopping trip per person per day, but there is always a polite, respectful way to communicate that to a shopper.
I had the same at my store in Godfrey,I have never had an issue with doing more that one order, They were horribly rude today, I even had issues with The kraft Mayo/Miracle whip ringing up wrong and they made me feel like it was my fault
DeleteJust a heads up, I purchased 3 Campbell's Slow Kettle Style soup, priced at $2.99 each. Using the IP $1/1 coupon doubled, it came out to $.99 each. However, when I checked out, it also printed a $1.50 catalina oyno! Not sure what the catalina deal is, but thought I share.
ReplyDeleteIP coupon is here: http://www.campbellskitchen.com/SavingsCenterLandingPage/CouponsAndSpecialOffers.aspx
I got 152.05 worth of stuff for 23.23!! Woohoo!
ReplyDeleteThe heinz gravy 12 oz is 1.47 and there is an IP on coupons.com for .75/1 making them free! Also on the dole fruit crisp, if you are a member, there is $1/1 coupon also making them free!
could you or someone else point me to where the dole fruit crisp 1/1 coupon is..TIA
DeleteI found at Snyder dipped peanut butter sandwiches that were 2.00. I would think these would be okay with the coupon that just came out. There are also some Snyder brands that 2/$6.
ReplyDeleteWow. I am shocked that 99% of.the Free items require a printable coupon this time instead of ones from Sunday inserts. : ( No printer lools like I am gng to miss out on FREE items this week.
ReplyDeleteJeri, I would be nothing (only concerning coupons) LOL if it was not for all your hard work and trusting in our posting of updates.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Klove.
DeleteI'm finding that I always use more printable coupon than insert one. I'm sure there will be the technology soon that's priced reasonable to print from you phone soon.
I stopped buying papers altogether when the price went up. If there's a REALLY good deal that I know about far enough in advance (usually at CVS) I might order from a clipping service but that's rare. Even with just printable coupons I find that I get plenty of good deals. Sure, I miss out on some things but for the amount of money I save in papers, it's worth missing a few things here and there.
DeleteI found a couple more deals:
ReplyDeletethere are other North Star bars 2/$4 $1 each with coupon
Happy Baby/Tot squeeze pouches are $1.19-1.39 and there is $1 off 2 on coupons.com
Sun-bird seasonings (in asian section) are $1.19 ($.80 off/1 on coupons.com) making them FREE
Jello large boxes are $1.39 coupons.com has a coupon $1 off 2 making them $.39 each
Yoplait yogurt with granola 2 pks. are $2.00 and $.75/1 on coupons.com makes them $.50 each
Kashi Soft and Chewy Bars are $3 and $1 off 1 at coupons.com makes them $1 each
Anyone know when the sale on post sesame street cereal ends?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't know. The price I came up with was off of Schnucks App. Someone else mentioned earlier that they weren't marked that price at their store. If you have a smartphone and have downloaded Schnucks App you can price check with it, otherwise take the product to the cashier who handles Self Checkout and ask them to price check it for you.
DeleteMy friend did get the cereal for $1.88 at her store (unknown location) so it should be $1.88 at some locations if not all.
DeleteI'm pretty sure it said 3/5 when I looked tonight.
DeleteThis is the 3rd week now that Carbondale, Illinois has not had a Smart Source inset. Anyone know what's up with that??
ReplyDeleteDo you get the Post-Dispatch in Carbondale or do you get another paper?
DeleteSorry if someone already mentioned this -- there is a promotion for $3 instant savings wyb 6 Quaker products. I bought 4 granola bars, 2 Life cereal for 1.88 each and used 3 $1/2 peelies in the store -- total paid was $2.40 or 4o cents each after 3 coupons and instant savings.
ReplyDeleteBe careful because I just noticed the oatmeal coupon and the soda ones say do not double.
ReplyDeleteSchnucks has always doubled coupon even if they say "do not double". The question was asked on their Facebook page in one of the previous coupon promotions, and they confirmed they would double all coupons.
DeleteWow! Good to know. I'm still new at the couponing thing.
DeleteWelcome to the world of couponing. It takes some time to know all the little "ins and outs" of what stores will do or not do. If you have questions, make sure you ask them here. Chances are one of my readers will answer your question before I can get to it. Couponers are a very friendly bunch.
Deleteoh why I didn't know about the doubling thing that is awesome!
Deletenesquick pouches 1.00 use 50 insert coupon from not too long ago(which i believe is valid for these)= free
ReplyDeleteziploc slider bags 1.67 use 1/2 printable . 67 each
kraft tarter sauce 1.19 there was 1/2 tear pad q right by the product=.19
Hi All - Thanks for your price info. I'll get this post updated.
ReplyDeleteHere's my totals thus far (I need to make 1 more trip before sale ends):
ReplyDelete2 transactions (27 items):
$57.68 total (before coupons)
$12.74 + .65 Tax= $13.39
Great shopping! Did you take a picture?
DeleteNo, I didn't-sorry. As I told you my DH always makes his move quick remove the groceries from the car and put them away tidy for me. I guess so he can scope out what all I got so he can stake his claim on the "goodies" he wants.
DeleteAlso he's recently (Dec) been diagnosed as diabetic Type 2, so I now spend more time in the stores reading labels for deals to cut the sugar/carbs (he's not even an overweight guy-just he's addicted to soda (Pepsi) & hereditary). So my shopping habits have changed a bit lately. But, I have found companies are making an effort to offer regular item options with less sugar than before and that helps as our grocery bill did increase (20-25%) after his diagnosis.
DeleteMy LAST trip today...
DeleteOMG! I'm zonked from shopping for all these goodies. The employees are going to know me by name shortly (lol).
Here's the breakdown:
3 transactions (32 items)
$55.97 total (before coupons)
$13.98 + $1.11 Tax= $15.09
This included 3 cats
1- $1-Campbells Kettle soup

DeleteI did 2nd trip today after I realized I left an envelope of sorted coupons for the sale back at home:
Here's how it breaks down:
2 transactions (15 Items)
$26.28 total (before coupons)
$5.58 + .71 Tax= $6.29
This included:
8 Dole Spinach
2 Kraft Tartar Sauce
2 Star Olive Oil
2 ID Gum
1 Pkg smoked ham pieces ($1.82)
Are the Kashi Soft Baked Bars on sale for $3? The granola bars were the only ones tagged, and they don't match the coupon. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not.
DeleteI haven't bought Kashi bars, so am not real familiar with them. I looked them up on Kashi's website (I feel like a cashier trying to match the picture on the coupon to a product) and compared names to Schnucks app.
I'm seeing Chewy bars for $3.89. I'll change the post.
Thanks for mentioning this.
C&H light brown sugar is on sale for $2..there is a 1/1 any light C&H sugar printable coupon on smartsource...makes it free
ReplyDeletehydrive energy drinks are 1.11 there are .55 cent tearpad qs right by the product makes them .01
Just FYI, C&H light sugar is a sugar/no-calorie sweetener blend (I don't remember if it's stevia, splenda, or what that's mixed with the regular white sugar).
DeleteI don't think that coupon is meant for light brown sugar (light being a color descriptor here), but maybe it'll work.
Just a heads up.

I'm loving my stock pile and so are my friends and family.
At my Schnucks they didnt have the 7up ten yet so I spoke to the manager and asked if she could tell me which stores were selling them. She just told me to get whatever 2lts I wanted and she would except the coupons on those bottles.
DeleteGreat shopping and a great manager.
DeleteI needed to pick up some Lucky Charms on my schnucks run. On sale for $3 w/.60 coupon doubled to $1.20. Then it printed a $1 off your next trip at checkout (compliments of GM) I was surprised to see that with just a purchase of 1 box?? So 80 cent cereal, happy surprise
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise! Thanks for passing on the info.
DeleteI tried it today.. no catalina :( oh well. thanks for the heads up anyway!
DeleteI spent around $6 for around $50 worth for my 3 trips to Schnucks yesterday. Couldnt find the Green Giant veggie chips at any of the stores - I looked in the chips and snacks aisles and on every end cap. Simply Cranberry juice rang up at $3.99 but still had an expired sales tag on the shelf so I got them for $3 each ($1.50 each after .75 printables). My $1 Sesame Street cereals coupons beeped and the cashier manually doubled them to $2 each so I got .24 overage.
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of Green Giant chips at the Schnuck's on Hampton and Chippewa.
DeleteI just have a quick comment. I love the fact of saving money but yesterday I went to the Schnucks in our area and had a HORRIBLE experience. First- a lady had 15-20 Kraft mayo in her cart as was putting the last one in her cart! So therefore no more Kraft may & this was pretty much my entire shopping trip. I did say to the lady "hi I just needed 2 of those" She said "Opps looks like I beat you to them!" Also there was many people doing multiple transactions. I know this because I had to wait for the lady in front of me to do 4!!! I ended up leaving with a bag of gluten free pretzels. So I just would like to say I think it's great to save but isnt there a point when it becomes a bit greedy and not very nice to the other people shopping?
ReplyDeleteA few couponers can give all a bad name. Not only was the person you ran into behavior unacceptable, but the store has put on limits for a reason. You should contact corporate and complain about the store you shopped at.
DeleteThe store you shop at could stop this kind of behavior.
I agree! How do you have all that mayo in your cart when its only 3 like coupons per transaction? REally, I didn't think they were letting people split up transactions at the register either....That's terrible.
DeleteThe more I think about this, how did one person get their hands on 15-20 IP's. They would have to have access to 8-10 computers to print from. I know almost everyone has access to more than one computer, but 10?
DeleteI sure hope that shopper didn't' copy Internet printables. When people start doing that, it makes using IP's difficult for everyone.
I agree that there is a line between saving/stockpiling and being greedy. Unfortunately, sometimes the excitement gets the best of the newer couponers - I have noticed since I have been doing this for several years now. It takes some time to realize that you can't use that much of something even when it is free.
DeleteSorry you had that experience - really makes it no fun...
Jeri - I used to have access to 12 computers between work and home until everyone at work got laptops and take them home with them. Now I can print easily from 3 computers only, sometimes two others.
I have access to 10-12 computers daily, between work and home. I share the coupons with family and friends so have started saving money too. Especially my sister in law who was clueless with 4 kids 3 under 7. The first time I showed how to figure it out she called me beyiond happy because she saved $45 ish on a close to $100 shopping in 2 days. I showed her during a triples week. Now she turns to me every week and asks for the deals. I have the time to look she's a little more busy then.
DeleteO.K. you can tell it's been many years since I worked in an office. I will ask my husband to print at the office - if it's a really good coupon, but don't want to take advantage of the companies paper & ink.
DeleteI'm just afraid that some people copy coupon.
I'm sure people do. I have 4 computers at home that I'll take a chance on cpns. I only print what I know I'll use anywhere else.
DeleteYeesh....I work in an office that you can never use company resources for yourself...not to mention instaling coupon printers and going to the coupon sites themselves has too many cookies and ads attached...its not safe for our network. Its hard because I am telling some people I work with about couponing and the sites and they keep asking if they can print from work. I just tell them not to do it and why, because I don't want anyone to get in trouble over it. we are not even allowed to use the internet for personal use there though.
DeleteThe Snyder Dipped Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Better Oats and Dr. TEN coupons state "Do Not Double" on them. I decided to try them anyway, but sure enough, they did not double. :)
ReplyDeleteI used the Snyder one yesterday and had no problem.
DeleteDid your cashier intervene and manually make your coupons double?
DeleteMy guess would be yes. I had a couple cpns that she realized hadn't doubled before I did:) I had an amazing time at Dierberg's this time. They were accomodating and the cashier was extremely nice. Which was awesome for me because I usually have nothing but a nightmare checking out. I have learned that there are a couple of cashiers to just steer clear of. Sometimes I think they enjoy making checking out painful to discourage you from couponing. I can't say the same for Schnucks this time. The cashier were crabby and the store was not well stocked. SOme of that maybe from them resetting the store.
DeleteAny stores running out of the "freebies?"
ReplyDeleteI got the last bag of GG chips at the Crestwood store about an hour ago. None of the other 3 locations I'd been to even had a space for them. Finally found the "Ten" 2 liter sodas near the salad bar, not with the other sodas where I would expect them to be. I hate when stores hide stuff! I used the self scanner today today since I only had a few coups. I may try that again during double and triple weeks. I liked being able to scan coups at my own pace and making sure they doubled right. My Synders and Ten coupons doubled automatically with no problems. I dont think I've ever had a "Do not double" coupon not double at Schnucks since theyve been doing this.
ReplyDeleteThe $1/2 any 2 quaker product couppns alsp work on the $1 cups of cap'n crunch, crunch berries & lofe cereals as they are put out by quaker as well... FREE!
ReplyDeleteNescafe Momento instant coffee is on sale for $2.99. I had a newspaper coupon for $1, but I don't know what insert it came from. Final price 99 cents!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeri and all!
ReplyDeleteIs there any limit to the number of like coupons per transaction?
Thanks!
Yes, three like coupons per transaction.
DeleteThanks!!
DeleteIn the produce section, near the raisins, I found a display of Newtons Fruit Thins. Each box had a peelie for $1 off fruit wyb 1 box NFT. These should double, right?
Chobani Champions tube yogurt on sale for $2.78. There is a $1/1 q on the chobani website. $.78 for 8 tubes...Makes for some cheap kids lunch ideas!
ReplyDeleteFor iced coffee addicts (ugh...so expensive!), International Coffee has $1/1 Qs on coupons.com for their premade ixed coffee... makes them $1.98 for a half gallon (less than one cup st Starbucks :) Eve
My store had Snickers, Twizzlers and other candy on clearance shelf for $.25 e. Had B2G1 TP q for snickers. Yay.
Both Schnucks & Dierbergs have Star Olive Oil (& Extra Virgin Oil) 500ml on sale for $3.99. There's a $1 coupon on Smartsource.com website I believe, making the 1/2 liter $2 after Super Double Coupon.
ReplyDeleteI found peelies on Heinz gravy for $1 off any Ore Ida frozen potato. Makes them $1...plus free gravy!
ReplyDeleteThe C&H Light coupon is for their new Light Sugar & Stevia Blend, not the Golden Brown Sugar, as far as I can tell. Anyone have a store accept it?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I think using this coupon for the "light" meaning stevia/substitute sugar on the regular sugar is a misuse of the coupon. Chances are a casheir would pass it thru, but Schnucks may not get reimbursed for it. Maybe I'm wrong, but thats how I'm reading the coupon
DeleteThat's what I thought too. Printed it this evening and realized that it must not work. Glad you agree!
Deletethe coupon says any C&H light sugar the brown sugar is tagged as C&H light. wouldn't it mention stevia/substitute if it was meant for that?
DeleteThis is what I see on the C&H website for light sugar. This is the same page the coupon is from. I don't seen a brown sugar option for it, but I haven't checked my store yet.
DeleteHi All - I think C&H probably intended this coupon to to be used on their "sugar substitute" product, but they didn't word the coupon with those stipulations.
DeleteI have purposely not tried to figure out how coupons are coded. (That can easily take you down the wrong path.) So, I don't know if the register will accept it for the Light Brown Sugar, but if they coded it like they worded the coupon, it will work.
My opinion is - companies should be consistent with the wording and intentions of the coupon. When they are not, it causes confusion for the shopper and the store.
Bailey's coffee creamer is 2.16, making it .16 after 1.00 coupon....not sure what insert it's from....first or second weekend of Feb. I believe.
ReplyDeleteFYI, got a $1 Cat for buying 2 of the Campbells Slow Kettle soups. Still makes them 49 cents in the end, in case you can't get a third coupon.
ReplyDeleteIs there a Catalina on the Campbell's go soups? If so, there were $1/1 tear pads at my schnucks, and they were $2.99. Makes them .99 each without any Catalina, or better if there is one.
ReplyDeleteThere's a $1.00 printable coupons for Ghirardelli bags which are on sale for $3.50 making them $1.50 each. Totally worth the splurge for me!

Where in the store are the "Snyder Dipped Peanut Butter Sandwiches" that are $2 and what size are they? All I found were the "Snyder Peanut Butter Pretzel Sandwiches" 8oz bags that were $3.69.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find them either.
DeleteI found snyder's york peppermint pretzel sandwich at the end of the chip aisle on a display with the snyder's pretzel dips at the kirkwood schnuck's.
DeleteI couldn't find them the first time through either. I searched all through the pretzel aisle, and only found sandwiches that were 3.49 or 3.99 or something. I found some .99 packs of pretzel bits near the registers that I used them on instead. Then on my next trip through, I found them in a end display where the soda aisle meets the popcorn aisle. (I go to the UCity schnucks)
DeleteEveryone loves a produce deal - here is a good one. At the section with the packaged lettuce, there is a Dole booklet containing recipes and 2 coupons for $.75/1 Dole. The fresh spinach is on sale for $1.50 this week making them free. Sure wish I could stock up on spinach without it going bad!
ReplyDeleteMy Caribou Coffee coupon is for $1.50. Still a good match with the sale, but it won't double.
ReplyDeleteMine does too. Thanks for catching my oops!
DeleteI found small bags of the Snyder's pretzels in a bin in the snack aisle. They were with the Snyders Dips. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteHi All - Thanks for your price info. This has been quite the week.
ReplyDeleteI did six transactions at schnucks in ucity last night. Total paid = $83 for retail value of $260. HOORAY! I posted my photos to schnucks page if anyone wants to see my haul.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find:
Happy Tot pouches
OM bacon for 3.99 - there was plenty of bacon, but no OM less than $6.
Stride ID gum at 1.25. The cheapest stride gum I could find was 1.79 or so.
Green Giant chips (my store usually doesn't carry this kind of thing, so I was not surprised.)
The Cheesy skillets and casseroles were very well picked through. I managed to get the 8 I wanted, but it was slim pickings.
I mentioned the problem I had with the pretzels above.
The Kraft mayo marked at 2.00 rang up at 2.99, but I didn't notice until I got home. :(
I used 1/2 peelies from a cereal endcap display to get 6 free quaker popped snacks.
Thanks to Jeri and everyone else. Maybe I'll make one more trip today if I can get to the Rich Hts store. They will probably have the chips, at least.
At the Dorsett Schnucks off 270, they have a huge bin of Kraft tarter sauce for $1.19 each in the produce department with tear pad coupons for $1/2 on the bin. So, I paid $.19 for each bottle. This is the first time I have ever been able to stock up on tarter sauce for a great price.
ReplyDeleteGood post Stacey! I saw these same coupons at the Des Peres store with the tarter sauce on an endcap at the back of the store.
DeleteUPDATE:::
ReplyDeleteI called Corporate and was told stores are enforcing the limit of "One trip of 15 coupons doubled (or tripled when that promotion is going on) per household per day". I see they are holding strong on the policy although we all know that the stores are allowing something different. For now I am avoiding Cottleville and their stink-eye cashiers/manager due to my experience on Sunday. Good luck to all who can do more than one transaction per day per store.//Blair
I started to get some stinky looks after my third consecutive trip through last night. But no one actually said anything to me.
DeleteHmmmm...Cottleville is still my favorite schnucks, so I'll still go regardless. Living in St. Chas there is Midrivers, Cottleville, and Jungerman... Can't complain because with just a little driving I have 3 I can visit per day. I don't think the limit is a bad thing. I LOVED going in and out, however, I can see the point of the limits.
DeleteThe only problem I have is that the cashier at Cottleville as really rude about it to me. I was about the only person at 6am in the store, and when I was ringing up my 2nd trip in, the casheir out of nowhere says..."YOU KNOW THERES RULES ON THE COUPONS!!" I said, "Oh! I thought I checked all my coupons and made sure they were for the right items!"...then she proceeded to make me feel like a criminal for coming in for a 2nd trip. I just told her that all the times they have done this event, I've checked with the customer service counter, not to mention that about 5 other casheirs in that store have told me its not a problem to come back in. I told her its fine and I won't come back in, but I would hope I'm not being given trouble for doing something that other people are allowed to do when other casheirs are working.
I don't go in more than once a day now at Cottleville, but at Jungerman I asked and they still said "SURE!"....even at deirbergs today I asked and they said "SURE!". My lession learned is ALWAYS ask first...that way there are no surprises. The cottleville incident was the first time I didn't ask when I was checking out the first time.
Post about this on their FB page they will take care of the problem immediately. If you have the cashiers name they will talk with them directly. This happened my family and they jumped on top of it after it was brought up on Facebook
DeleteI got the Purina Be Happy cat food ($3.99) for $1.99 after a $1 Q (2/24 SS, I believe)
ReplyDeleteAs usual my last trip of doubles/triples week never goes well. Went to Schnucks and Dierbergs today, none of my coupons would scan at the self scanner at either store, and when I got home I saw that 2 of my items were expired - one of my Kraft mayos expired 6 months ago! This is now at least 5 times in the past 6 months that I've gotten expired items from Schnucks. I try to watch expirations dates in the store but I just cant check every item. On the bright side, my 3 day total was $17 for $117 worth :)
ReplyDeleteI've found that a few things listed in the match ups were either no where in the stores I've been or a higher price. I didn't see a Kraft Mayo that was under $3 or the Juicy Juice under about $2.95.
ReplyDeleteLots of stores are sold out of some of the great deals and I only found peelies on the Quaker things in the very back of a small display in 1 store. I was really excited to get granola bars for .38 a box! I got 4 so I can't complain about not getting more.
Also, I bought the Lucky Charms today and didn't get a catalina. Did anyone else get that to work?
No Lucky Charms cat here either.
DeleteNo catalina at the High Ridge or Big Bend locations
DeleteThank you so much for all of the work you put into these amazing match-ups!! I did six trips, spent just over $34, and saved 71% off sale prices or 83% off retail prices even with my 'splurge' on 4 bags of Ghirardelli chocolate and 4 cans of Planters cashews. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteHi All - It sounds like everyone had a great three days of couponing, even with a few glitches.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you, but I'm exhausted. I apologize if there was a comment I should have responded to and didn't. It's hard to keep up at time with so much going on.
I hope everyone considers dropping in on Schnucks or Dierbergs Facebook page and leaving a message of how much you saved or enjoyed Super Doubles.
A big shout out to EVERYONE for your help/contributions.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like gluttony to have so much in the way of food for just 3 people.
Over the 3 days I made out with:
74 Items (7 transactions)
Total $139.93 (before coupons)
$32.30 + 2.47 Tax =$34.77 = 76% Savings
Courtney - You should see how much I have for just one person! We are so blessed to have these coupon events and an abundance of food. Everyone remember to donate some if you can.
DeleteYeah CJ,
ReplyDeleteI did a BIG donation to the Salvation Army ARC back in Jan. Over $600 worth of food. I try donate quarterly. I tend to clear my shelves to the point that we lack staples to make meals here at home. When I bring my grocery donations, they always ask, do you have a store or something (this is all brand name stuff)? LOL
Courtney - Great job!! I donated several bags to Kingdom House last month and have another box ready from this past week. There are always so many freebies that I dont want/need for myself so I'm happy to donate.
DeleteHi all, I am new to coupons. Actually this was my first "event". I always thought coupons took up way to much time. Last month my husband had to have emergency surgery and will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time so I decided to try to save money with coupons. I have to say I am very impressed with this site and what I was able to do in the three days. I only had one grouchy cashier. I talked to the store manager and he was very nice about it. The other cashiers were wonderful. .
DeleteI would like to get info on some places that accept food donations. While I didn't buy anything I wouldn't use this time. I did have the thought of getting extras and donating them. I know the post office does a food drive in May. I have access to a lot of computers (no I wasn't the mayo lady :). I have always been very blessed to have what we need and would love to help out those that need it. Any info is appreciated. Thanks Renee
I have 2 different boxes of items that are going to be donated. I shopped knowing that I was going to do that so I got quite a bit more then I normally would. One box is going with a co-worker to Guatamela(sp?) where she is going to do a mission trip. The other is going to be split up between a few different places. One being a family friend who is on hard times. I kind of feel like the Easter Bunny...It's a GREAT feeling. I am also beyond tired!!!I'm not sure that I will have the energy to split the stuff up tonight.
ReplyDeleteI typically donate to Angel Arms & Salvation Army ARC. You can Google each one & it tells you their mission statement (If you want to donate to a particular cause). HTH
ReplyDeleteRenee - Welcome to the world of couponing. Sorry to hear about your husband and I hope he makes a quick recover and is back to work soon.
ReplyDeleteI find it best to find a organization close to your heart, or close to your location to donate to. St Louis Area Foodbank has a spot on their website where you can enter your zip code and find one of their partner organizations.

You might also think about donating to on of the Ronald McDonald houses.

If you are in the City, one of Coupon STL readers - ArmyMomx2's husband is associated with a church in Soulard that has a food bank and I could connect you ups with her.
