Super Jingle Cash Scenario - Week of 12/5/10

This week's promotion at Walgreens is Super Jingle Cash - Get $5 for every $25 you spend

Update: Manufacturer coupon don't seem to be affecting the trigger dollar amount to get Super Jingle Cash, but if you use Walgreens coupons it might.
For the last two years, Walgreens has had this same promotion, but called it by different names.  The Super Jingle Cash (or whatever they called it previous years) triggered before coupons.  Hopefully, it will be the same this year.  We will know on Sunday.

  1. Tonight I spent $21 AFTER coupons and it worked to get $5 in jingle cash. I wasn't sure how it would trigger the reward (i.e. before or after coupons so I "overspent".) Let the rest of you take advantage of my experience! Thanks Jeri for all your postings!

  2. Yesterday I purchased $25.48 before coupons, $19.48 after. The $5 in jingle cash didn't print and I was told by the cashier at the cosemtics counter that this year the total AFTER coupons counts. I had purchased 2 PF Changs, 1 Revlon Nail Polish, Crest Toothpase, and a Sunday Paper. Could there have been a problem with the merchandise selection? It was at the Rock Hill Walgreens, and I've never had a problem there before.

  3. Hi Debra - Thanks!

Hi Anonymous - Did you get the RR for purchasing the Revlon Nail polish? I don't see anything you bought that wouldn't be included in the offer, unless it was the newspaper. It's a mystery to me.

  4. Thanks, Jeri. Yes I did get a $5, $4, and a $2.50 RR. I confirmed with the cashier at the cosmetics counter that the $5 on was for Revlon, and she said yes. I am going to stop by and see if I can get the manager to print one out for me, or at least explain what went wrong. Thanks.

  5. With the Jingle Cash and other deals, I'm back having fun at Walgreens this week! If you use Walgreens diapers, it's not a bad week. They are BOGO - at the Clayton/Baxter these rang up at $8.99 each and the free was deducted at the bottom. So $17.99 counted towards the $25.00.

Anon, The revlon $5 RR have thanks from Revlon in the small print (I think on the right side). The $5 Jingle Cash has next weeks dates on it.

Has anyone bought the scotch mailers as part of their $25. These ring up different than the diapers at the top of the receipt so I'm not sure if the total prior to BOG2 would count towards the $25.

I wonder if the $1 wags revlon q is what makes the difference. Maybe it is $25 after wags qs. Jeri had an extra dollar in her transaction, where Anon did not. Anyone else buy the revlon and have subtotal between $25 and $25,99?

  7. Hi All - I'm reading on forums that some people are getting the Super Jingle Cash when they used Walgreens coupons and some not. There is speculation that the registers are programed differently. I'm speculating that some Walgreens coupon affect the trigger amount and some don't.

Oh, Walgreens makes life so fun. No wonder the employees are clueless. How can anyone figure out what is going to happen?

Maureen - Thanks for the diaper info.
