  1. Okay color me confused again :-(. I asked about filler items last week and was told the number of coupons can't exceed the number of items but in transaction 1 I see 3 items (2 deodorants and 1 seed) but 4 coupons (2 deodorant coupons I assumed from the $2 deduction, 1 seed coupon, and 1 RR coupon from last week). I'm lost again.

Or does the Walgreens store coupon for seeds not count to the the coupon limit? I know the RR is a "manufacturer" coupon and counts.

    1. Hi Sara - It's not you, it's Walgreens that makes things confusing. Walgreens store coupon don't count in that number of coupons can't be more than number of items.

I know it gets confusing when you shop at Walgreens. The Walgreens coupons (IVC - Instant Value Coupon) found in the weekly ads or in the monthly booklets do not count as coupon spots when doing transactions.

So in transaction #1 the two $1 coupons would attach to the two deodorants and the RR to the seeds. The Walgreens IVC is a price reduction giving you the sales price of $.20 and not a manufacturer's coupon. You can use as many Walgreens coupons as you want without effecting the number of other coupons you use.

    Hope that makes sense.
