    1. Hi KC - Yes, I did include that match up in my earlier post.

I'm finding that since the newspaper went up to $2.50 and you can't buy them for $1 any more (at the Dollar Stores) many readers don't even buy the paper any more and depend on printables only. I want to make sure I highlight the printables for them.

    2. I'm not sure if anyone/everyone knows this but thought I would put it out there just in case. I have just the Sunday paper delivered and it is $4.29 a month. I think that's about as close to $1 as your gonna get.

    3. I signed up for a six month deal on paper delivery a year or so ago and when the six months ended I opted not to renew. I called more than a month in advance to cancel and the lady who took my call said she would note it in the computer. My delivery stopped but I received calls and letters saying that I owed them ~$50. The person calling was 'generous' enough to offer me a renewal option to wipe out the fees. I provided him with the date and name of the person I spoke with (thankfully I kept that information), and he finally agreed that I didn't owe anything. Just beware if you get sucked into one of their special deals.

    4. We had the same experience with ending delivery, except ours came directly out of our checking account. They kept taking money out and delivering the paper. It was expensive to put a stop payment (and not guaranteed) through our bank, so we finally left our balance at zero for a few months. Then the collection calls started. After 3-4 months, they finally quit delivering and we haven't gotten any calls for a few weeks.

  2. This isn't the first time I've heard horror stories when people have tried to cancel their P-D subscription. Does anyone know if the P-D handles their own subscription or is it outsourced? Either way, those are slimy business practices.

Those who have experienced problems, have you filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau?
