I took my 2 expired items back to Schnucks last night. I exchanged the Kraft Mayo but the only Dole Parfeit left on the shelf was also expired by 3 months! So I got a refund for that and the CS employee gave me a $10 store credit for my trouble! He's a young guy that I've had as a cashier several times and he is always so nice and helpful.

DeleteYears ago, I knew a woman who worked for one of the big cereal companies as a rep. One of her jobs was check the merchandise on the shelf and remove anything that was close to the expiration date. I wonder who's responsibility it is in today world.
I found several yogurts that were expired at schnucks a few weeks ago- more than 20! You would think dairy would be checked better than that. One was over a month expired! I'm careful to check now, especially as I found a honey mustard I'd gotten that was over 3 months expired. Didn't bother to take it back as I figured they had given me such great deals lately. But I learned a lesson to check in the store next time. Be careful, everyone. : )
