If you took a look at this week's Schnucks online ad, you might have seen some St Louis area stores advertising double coupons up to $0.55.
But, don't get excited. I just got off the phone with Schnucks Customer Affairs - it's an error in the online ads. They are only doubling coupons up to the regular $0.40 in the St Louis area stores this week.
I was excited for a few minutes. An extra $0.15 would make a huge difference with double coupons. But, for some reason I knew it was too good to be true.

DeleteShopped at two Schnucks today in St. Charles County and both doubled coupons up to $.55. Was told by the manager they will be doing it all week since they had a misprint on the first page of the ad. Yeah!!! Blair

DeleteI'm looking at an online ad now. It still says double to $0.55. This morning Schnucks told me the were correcting those online ad, but maybe the couldn't.
DeleteThe ads in the store have "Double coupons apply to manufacturer coupons valued at .55 or less. For more details, check in store." This was on the first page and the normal "$.40 or less" on the back page. I think they made a good decision to honor doubling up to $.55 for the week.//Blair

ReplyDeleteJust got back from my Schnuck's (Brentwood), $.50 coupons doubled! Free cat treats! I was told by the manager it was a mis-print in the ad the computers followed the ad, should bethat way all week by her understanding.

DeleteI just got to look at my ad, it says double up to .55 or less, but what I noticed was different is that it lists 4 stores in this area, I have NEVER seen this before....something seems off to me. It has never listed a group of stores.
DeleteEven if it was an error...can they really afford to not honor it at this point. If you think about it they changed the amount of the cpn high for the last cpn deal...something is off on this one.
ReplyDeleteOK so I went shopping at SNS and got to the register and ended up paying more than I wanted to spend. Miscalculated cpns and item prices. How do you get the store price items so you know how much to spend?
ReplyDeleteHi Shannon - Schnucks Mobile App has all the prices on it. But, at SNS and Dierbergs, besides what's in the ad, you don't know prices until you get to the store.
DeleteI take a paper, pen and my calculator to the store with me and write up what I'm buying and cost.
Hi All - I just posted a list of the stores with the $0.55 double coupon misprint. It looks like some (maybe all) of the store with the misprint will honor whats printed in the ad. It looks like this might be an interesting week.
