Just came from CVS - bummer, the system wouldn't let me "make money" on the Kit Kats. Oh well, I did get them for free :)
ReplyDeleteI was able to "make money" on them. One coupon beeped, I think it was a manufacturer coupon and the cashier just manually entered it. I gave the CVS coupons first then the manufacturer coupons.. Took off $3.50 each from my total, bought 2 bags..
ReplyDeleteOK maybe that was the problem. I did manuf. coupons first and it beeped on the second CVS coupon. The cashier took the manuf coupons off and then couldn't get the second CVS to work, so she entered it manually and then she did one manuf coupon to make them free.. Live and learn, thank you Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn - A good rule of thumb is to always give the cashier the store coupon before a manufacturer coupon - it always seems to work out better.
ReplyDeleteI don't hand over all of my coupons and one time to cashiers. Not only do I like to make sure they ring them in the order I want, but it allows me to monitor what is going on, and that all coupons get run up.
The reason the CVS coupons are beeping is because the CVS coupons are "Limit one coupon per customer." It is YMMV if the cashier pushes it through anyway. If you purchase one per transaction, it shouldn't beep on you.
ReplyDeleteAlso I have learned, sometimes the printable CVS coupons are coded to not accept a Mfg with it - I am not sure if the mfg are beeping or not, I haven't tried it yet.
