    1. Had a battle at the Crestwood Wags yesterday. Asst manager tried to tell me my Reach RR didnt print because I used a coupon that lowered my total to less than the RR value (sigh, really??). He wouldnt budge so I returned the toothbrush and called corporate. Corporate said coupons dont effect RRs and they'd have the manager call me. Manager calls me and says you dont get RR when you use a coupon. When I tell her I did the same deal 2 hours earlier at another Wags, she gives me some nonsense about sometimes the catalina catches up to the ad in the middle of the week and realizes that you cant use a coupon (what????). So now I'm waiting for another call from corporate. I dont even care at this point, they can keep their toothbrushes. I just want a consistent answer. I wonder if it didnt work at the Crestwood Wags because my coupon actually scanned for once. My Reach coupons never scan at Wags and I never have trouble getting RRs except for this time.

      1. WOW! I am not a heavy Walgreens deal shopper, but even I belive that the situation you are describing, coupons + RR at the same freaking time regardless of end price, should happen. That's the way the math in the ad reads! It doesn't specifically say that for the Reach but it DOES say it for Claritan, the Zegrid, the Glade...

      2. Carolyn - If I would have been thinking clearly I would have told the store manager about the Glade deal that clearly shows to use a coupon and you get the RR. I just have no patience when I know I'm right and they wont listen to me. After all these years that Wags had been doing RRs, the stores still dont know the basic rules and corporate gives mixed information.

      4. CJ, I hear ya about the thinking clearly (I miss/forget stuff all the time) and no patience (me too)! Wags needs to get their act together!!! Hope the weekend treats you much better :)

      5. CJ, I had the exact same experience as yours at a different Walgreens. Then I realized that indeed, the manager was correct. I looked at the second $2 coupon that I have printed. The numbers on the printed MQ is the same as the $2 RR. So, the register scanned that you used a $2 RR and of course, would not print a second RR for you. Who would have thought that the IP MQ is coded the same as the RR?! Only when the MQ doesn't scan and the cashier mannually types in a $2 MQ, then the register knows to print the RR. Hope this help everyone understands what happened.

      6. I understand that could happen, but the coupon was still valid and the deal should have been honored. Just my luck the coupon actually scanned for once :( Thats okay though, if Walgreens doesnt want to try to make things work for their customers, I can shop elsewhere.
