Saved $262 and Still Within Budget

I listed the details of my Shop 'n Save trip because readers have asked, "how do you do that?" I try to combine as many deals as possible in one shopping trip - sales, coupons, coupons for free products, in-ad coupons, Catalina coupons, $10 off $50. When I can put all these together, I save a ton of money.

Kmart

Wow, it was great fun at Kmart with double and triple coupons. I met Tisha, another couponer, and she had all her coupons in a binder. It was impressive. Tisha even paid the bill on my first trip - 21 cents. I didn't have any pocket change and she couldn't stand that I was going to have to break a $10 bill. Thanks, Tisha

I went to Kmart three times this week. Only paid for Ziploc Sandwich Bags, .19 a box, and full price for a Hartz flea collar. No Hartz coupons in the St Louis newspaper.

Dierbergs:

The only coupons I used at Dierbergs was a .55 peelie on Sara Lee Bread and $1 coupon for Marcal napkins. The cashier entered the Marcal coupon incorrectly as $2. Wow, that doesn't happen very often.
