CVS has limits on their ECB deals. Unlike Walgreens, you will never have that nagging feeling of - should I run back one more time..... The best think about ECB's is they roll. If the limit on a deal is (2) you can purchase the first one and turn right around and purchase the same item with your ECB you just received!

Word from a CVS manager is that all four stores will open on 1/17/10. Hopefully, CVS and Lee Enterprise get their act together. Now any seasonal freebies that provide an ECB is offered without a rain check. So if you ain't grabbing on Sunday morning, oh well.
ReplyDeleteWhen the stores do open, having more then one ExtraCare card is a gray area. I read too many tales on another web site of bogarts that clean off shelves of the 'freebies' early Sunday morning. Now shopping for friends and family other was okay, except recently someone claimed she was harassed and banned. The bottom line is that I found generally CVS staff and managment are friendly, unlike too many who work for the competition, and want you to leave their store happy.
ReplyDeleteHi kas, Thanks for the udate on the opening date. I hope it doesn't keep slipping to a later date.
ReplyDeleteI understand the no rain checks on seasonal items. No sense in issuing a rain check if they aren't going to be getting more in.
The few times I've shopped at a CVS on the Illinois side of the river the employees were very helpful and friendly; it made shopping at CVS a great experience. I hope they are training the employees who will work in Missouri.
I hope shelf clearing by one or two people doesn't happen with the new St Louis stores. It would make no sense for CVS to keep a couple of customers happy and make many unhappy.
