Couple days ago, there was a (msn.com) Bing reference to articles on movie goers been banned from bringing food and drinks into KC theatres. Gee, beside the shakedown for $10 or more for each tix, you're expected to buy those overpriced tubs of popcorns, boxes of candy and "Big Gulp' size soda. Management with one chain blame customers leaving behind fast food leftover, which IMHO, just mixed with their spilled soda and stale popcorn on the floor.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'll get off my soap box. So either do Red Box or wait to the dollar theatres has one of your favorites on their screens.
Hi kas,
ReplyDeleteCan I borrow you soap box for a minute?
I agree movies and concesions are way over priced, but there isn't anything to I feel like I have to see - not even for $1 at Redbox.
I cant go to theatres because the huge screens and loud sound give me headaches. So the few times I do see movies I get them on DVD from Red Box or the library. I'd rather watch movies at home anyway and not have to put up with crowds and people talking during the whole movie. And I can have whatever snacks I want!
