I found the Cream of Wheat display at one store and not at another while up in Florissant. For the time being, there is a $2.00 MQ (tearpad) good on any Cream of Wheat product. The small 14 oz. box is prices at @$2.25, while the bigger 28 oz box is on sale for $3.68. Oh, an 8 pk. box of Instant Cream of Wheat is @$2.00 or free with the in-store MQ.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone shopped at the new store on Ballas and Manchester? It is not a very user friendly store. I couldn't even figure out where to go in and once I got in the store it was very difficult to find my way around. Anyone have any input?

ReplyDeleteHi Lynda - Ballas & Manchester - Is that the store just east of West County Mall? If that is the store you are talking about, I went there once to sightsee - not really to shop.
ReplyDeleteThe store reminded me of Culinaria (Schnucks new downtown location) on steroids. It was a really nice store, but huge. I remember having a problem finding my way out of the parking lot to head back to the highway. I personally like smaller stores so I can get in and out quickly.
Never been in the Ballas and Manchester store; but I know the newer stores are alot difference. Usually more square feet, you can see the large ductwork, restrictive on entry/exit and might be slightly more expensive. For those unaware, you pay an extra penny per dollar (TIF) at the Crosskey store and half a penny at the City stores. Don't blame me, I voted against the tax increase.

Great deals this week at Schnucks! I went planning to buy Ragu spaghetti sauce because I was out and it is my go-to dinner in a crunch. There were on sale for $1.67. I had a coupon for $1.25 off when you but two. There was a tag by the sauces for $2 off your next shopping order when you buy 3. 3 bottles of spaghetti sauce for $1.76 or .59 each.

ReplyDeleteHi kas, The extra tax can really ad up when you purchase big ticket items - like my grocery bill use to be. Now, I spend so little on groceries I don't worry about the extra tax. Love that sales tax if calculated after coupons.
