Before I used coupon and stocked up on what I can get a good price on, menu planning was such a chore and something I wasn't very good at. I was lucky to come up with 4 or 5 meal ideas for the week and was always running back to the store. Now, it only takes a few minutes, I plan with what I already have in the pantry or freezer and meal planning is easy.
Monday: General Tso's Chicken, steamed broccoli, rice, egg rolls
Tuesday: Senate Bean Soup, green salad, fruit
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Pasta con Broccoli, garlic bread, green salad
Friday: Baked Chicken, baked potatoes, veggies, fruit
Saturday: Grilled pork chops, long grain & wild rice, veggie, salad
Sunday: Swedish Meatballs with Cream Gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, peas

ReplyDeleteGreat looking menu! Do you have a recipe for General Tso's? That is my fave Chinese dish!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday!

How Funny - I had Senate Bean Soup on my meal plan for this week. It's not quite soup weather, but I love that stuff and it makes a bunch of food for not too much work! My kids love soup - more than hamburgers - go figure.
ReplyDeleteWow, can I just come to your house Thursday through Sunday?

Great menu. I book marked the baked chicken.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry - Thanks for stopping by. My General Tso come out of a bag from the freezer - Kahiki brand family size entrees. They were on sale at several of the grocery stores here in St Louis and I could pick them up for $1.99 each. Besides being a cheap meal they are really good - egg rolls too.
ReplyDeleteHi Katy - I have a ham bone left from Easter, so Senate Bean Soup it is. My family would eat soup every night of the week. They don't care it will be 80+ degrees today.
