Saved 59% This Week

My percentage of savings is way low compared to usual. The grocery deals were few and far between this week. And, since I didn't end up shopping at either CVS or Walgreens (where you get the most bang for your buck) the percentage looks measly. I shouldn't complain. I still saved more than 50% on groceries and have Breyers in the freezer.

Year To Date Totals

Spent: $717.84 ($42 weekly average)
Saved: $2,318.06 ($136 weekly average)

Splurge Funds: $123.56

For those who don't read my blog on a regular basis, my splurge funds are the difference between what I've actually spent and my $50 budget. I use it for those items I never find on sale or that I don't have coupons for.

  1. Jeri,

Did you do the happy dance when you got your ice cream? :-)

Did you have a coupon for the Mission chips? I can't find it?

  4. Hi Rhonda and coupon.girl

I just wish I had more freezer space for the Breyers.

14 oz. Mission Tortillas are on sale a Schnucks for 3/$5. The store I was at had a dispaly advetsing them for .92 each after $1.50 off 2 coupon at the register.

There was a .75 printable coupon I posted about, but it looks like it might be gone.

Has anyone else been told they couldn't use the store coupon with the manufacture coupon at Dierbergs? I wanted the Prairie Farm ice cream for $1.25 deal and the Checkout Superviser came over and told me I could only use 1 coupon. It was the one on Ross and Olive. I don't normally go to that location so I didn't have any favorite checkers.

  7. Hi Shawn - I've always been able to use a manufacturer coupon with Dierbergs Web-Only coupon. I've even checked out with a supervisor.
