More Paint Rebates - This Time at Lowes

Lowe's is in on the paint rebate bandwagon this weekend, too.

On Wednesday, I posted about Home Depot's Paint rebate, and in today's paper, I see Lowe's is also offering a rebate.

$5 off gallon size or $20 off 5-gallon size mail-in rebate for Valspar paints. Offer valid 5/27/10 - 5/31/10. Rebate form printed at register.

See your local Lowes' ad for more info.

  1. (I posted this comment on the HD rebate post too, but I didn't want anyone to miss it!)

When you do the paint rebates, be SURE the cashier scans each can of paint. I did one of these promotions and the cashier just scanned one can and typed in the number of cans I bought. Then all of the cans on the receipt had the same UPC number and my rebate request was denied because the UPC codes (off of the paint cans) I sent in did not match what was on the receipt.

  3. What the cashier did also may cause problems for her employer. If a business use a J.I.T. (Just in Time) system, each item sold is tracked by the IT through the registers. Scanning only the UPC of one can of paint, instead of different UPC(s), mean either a future chance of too much of one color or the store is suddenly out of other colors.

Of course businesses do have 3rd parties inventory shelf stock, except this is for ongoing tax preperation. Also managers or hourly employees may do random counts on shelf stock, except that procedure is more likely to track shrinkage, IMHO.
