Question about how the sale works....If I purchase the BIG G cereals, do I have to reach $50 before the $4 bonus savings is deducted or after? THANKS SO MUCH!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jeri, I've some $5 off coupons from Entertainment book for Shop'n'Save....and I never go to this store(don't have any near by)....do u think Schnucks or Dierberg will take these coupons....or I was thinking if U like I can mail these to U as u can make some use out of it.....

Hi Anonymous - I don't have an answer for you on how the instant saving effects the $10 off $50. The first time I remember an instant saving on a $10 off $50 was a few weeks back. The same question came up, but the instant saving was only $2. I didn't end up shopping at Shop 'n Save that week and no one left a comment of what happened. Hopefully someone that expierenced this situation will have an answer?
ReplyDeleteHi spice - I've never heard that Dierbergs or Schnucks take SNS $5 of $50 coupons, but I've never asked and no one has ever commented on it.
ReplyDeleteI would ask you store if I were you. Each Deirbergs or Schnucks location might do something different. If you can't use them I would be glad to host a giveaway with them.
Regarding the SNS $5 off of $50 coupons in the Entertainment book. You have to purchase a $50 SNS Gift Card and they only charge you $45 (like getting 10% off). So, NO other store is going to accept the SNS gift card.
ReplyDeleteI do shop at SNS and would like to get some more SNS $5 off $50 coupons from the Entertainment book. If there is going to be a give away for them, SIGN ME UP!!
Hi John K - You can use a $5 off $50 at the cashier register, too.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to maximise your savings is to use a $5 off $50 coupon to buy a Giftcard, shop on a $10 off $50 and spend right at $50, and use a $5 off $50 coupons on your purchase. So, for a $50 purchase you are paying $35 before coupon and another 10% off after coupons.
Last week would have been great for tweaking your GC. As Jeri pointed out, each $50 card only cost you $45. So go buy two GC.
ReplyDeleteThen purchase $100 in Sears GC with the pair of SnS $50 GC. Receive a $10 cat for later usage.
Use $50 of Sears GC at Sears for the men clothing promo, which results in a $50 men clothing certificate by mail.
Take the other $50 worth of Sears GC with a $5 off $50 coupon. Buy $30 in men clothing and receive a $5 cat. Spend the remainder on other things.
For $90, you received $15 in cats to spend later. $100 in Sears men clothings and savings on men clothing at Kmart.
If I remember correctly, the $2 instant savings was on the Coke or Pepsi products. They had $2 coupons in the store that were applied along with the rest of my coupons, so it wasn't exactly instant like the $10 off of $50.
ReplyDeleteGreat sceanrio, kas!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy - I was thinking he Instant savings was on 10 Unilever product, but maybe the Coke & Pepsi was too.
I did the ConAgra instant savings last time. It came off with the coupons (though nothing had to be scanned - it was automatic)
ReplyDeleteThe Instant Savings DID NOT affect my $50 total.
-Andrea
Andrea, thanks so much for your response!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how redeeming the $5 off $75 catalina works? Will the $10 off $50 come off first, so I'll actually need to spend $85 before coupons in order to use the $5 off?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andrea! I knew someone would have first hand expierence with Instant Savings.
ReplyDeleteHi Sara - I wouldn't think so because you can spend right at $50 on a $10 off $50 and still use your Entertainment Book $5 coupon. But, I havent expirenced this. Hopefully, Andrea will know.
I don't know for sure about the $5/$75 - but I agree with Jeri. "you can spend right at $50 on a $10 off $50 and still use your Entertainment Book $5 off $50 coupon."
ReplyDeleteI would say you will only have to spend $75.
-Andrea
Sarah, if you have the $5 from the OYNO $5/$75 from last week, which I'm assuming that's what you mean, they consider it a coupon just like anything else. After they total all your groceries, give them your coupons and your $5 OYNO, and it should come off just like any other coupon. You shouldn't have to spend any more than $50 pre-coupons to be able to redeem it.
ReplyDeleteIf you are asking whether or not you can get the $5 OYNO this week for spending $75, I think that promotion has already ended. However, I was told by my cashier last week on $10/$50 Thursday that I should only have to spend $75 precoupons (even with the instant $10 off) and get my catalina. It, however, did not spit out of the machine, so I had to go to customer service to get it, but they gave it to me without hassle.
Just home from doing my Thursday shopping at SNS and found that they have the Red Barron Pizza By the Slice on sale for $3. I used my $2 IP coupons from last week and that combined with the $10/$50 Thursday deal equaled $.80 per box. Hope this helps someone! :)
ReplyDeleteTalked to my Kraft rep and store manager today. These are the best relationships you can build. I love my manufacturer reps. They give me the scoop on what is coming up and they are awesome for coupons.
ReplyDeleteNext week, is going to be a BIG week at SNS. It is their second biggest sale day of the year. Should be 10 off 50 on Thursday. Don't quote me. But, I received many hints/nudges that way.
I have the $2 IP coupons for the Red Barron Pizza by the Slice but will SNS accept them since they are over 50% of the price? Can someone explain this to me? thanks
ReplyDeleteWilly
Thank, Rhonda!
ReplyDeleteHi Willy - The policy reads 50% of retail. Some stores interpert this as regular price and others at the sale price. Some stores might take the $2 IP in this case and others not. Everyone gets to know after a short time what there store does. Sorry, I don't have a yes or no answer for you.
I've never had a problem using IP's over 50% of the sale price, but I know others do.
If you are trying to make your $50...I saw the skinny cow cups for $1!
ReplyDeleteRhonda--that is awesome. I was feeling down about not getting out today to take advantage of the sale--but there is always next week. I'm debating, too, about saving my pop-tarts coupons for the back to school sales that were so awesome last year. Does anyone know if Kraft does the same back-to-school promo every year? Kelly
ReplyDeleteRhonda - Can you tell us any more info about why next week is going to be big at SNS, other than the $10 Thursday?
