  3. *oh, and this is based on my experience. :)

  4. Wouldn't it be cheaper to use the 4/$5 from the ad on the Kraft cheese that is on sale this week for $5/3 and then use the $5/5 also?

    ReplyDelete
  5. ***Ignore my post above! I was thinking the in ad coupon was good on cheese...it's a different amount and NOT good on cheese. SORRY!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I have doubts that Shop n Save will allow the $5/5 on the 3/$5 cheeses. I'm going to print out the $1/2 coupons. Hey, that's still .27 ea if you buy 5 (and use 2 coupons), or .34 ea if you buy 6 (and use 3 coupons).

  7. Oh, those aren't "Thursday" prices btw.

  8. Is SNS's policy 50% of sale price or retail price? If it's retail price, how do they know what retail price is...the sale price will show up on the receipt.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm going to answer part of my own question...
The policy says retail price - I wonder if the cashiers know this. In the past at Twin Oaks they haven't allowed coupons for more than 50% of the SALE price.

Now that I think about it - do SNS receipts show the suggested retail price? I'm thinking they do, but I don't have one handy to check.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hi T - The retail price shows up on the reciept, but I'm not sure it shows on the cashiers screen. The red sale tags always show the "Every Day Low Price". You could jot down the regular price while you shop and if the cashier questions your coupon have that info avaiable.

Have you ever asked to speak to a manager about IP's? If you stop and talk to them before you shop and let them know exactly where you got the coupon from, it might help. I've never had a manager deny a coupon when I've taken this approach.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi All--and T@The Happy Clipper--Maybe we have SNS on a tech issue--The Policy posted online states "Printable coupons will be accepted for up to 50% of product Retail". No mention of sales prices. ???What do you guys think??? =)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hi Janet - I've always interperted SNS IP policy to mean regular retail price. I've never had a problem at the store I shop, but I know some readers have at their stores.

At least Dierbergs policy states it clearly - "50% of regular retail value"

  13. Anyone know if Philadelphia Cream Cheese is included in the sale or in the Catalina? THANKS!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi Kelly in SoCo--The Philly cheeses are not included in the B5G5 deal. I am not sure of the prices for the Phillys.

Jeri--I think @ a year ago a young cashier had told me no to an IP that was more than sale price. At the time I never questioned it as I did not know the IP policy. I rarely use IPs at SNS but now this brings new ideas into play as I kept thinking it was 50% of sale price. OHHH Head spinning--Off to calculate more deals. =)

  15. two weeks ago I bought philadelphia cream cheese (original)with the buy 5 get 5 and i was able to get the catalina....Today i was able to use the 5 dollar coupon on the 3/5 cheese and also the catalina does roll.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thanks for the info!

    ReplyDelete
  17. What do you mean roll? Can I use it to buy more cheese and get another Catalina?

Could I use the General Mills Catalina to buy more General Mills stuff and get the Catalina again?

    ReplyDelete
  18. ^^ in regards to the cheese yes you can. i purchased 5 bags of shredded cheese at 1.67 each total was 8.35 plus tax minus 5 dollar coupon paid 3.35 got back a 5 dollar catalina. Then i purchased 5 bags of shredded cheese, 6 ears of corn, 1 bunch of bananas...used the 5 dollar coupon and the 5 dollar catalina..paid 43 cents and received another 5 dollar catalina...

  19. Hi All--Please take note **The Philly cheeses ARE NOT on the Master Kraft Promo UPC list**these will not produce a cat for this B5G5 Promo. I have checked this list 10 times--it is 9 pages long. The Kraft deal a couple weeks ago was different with different products included. HTH =)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Where did you find this list? I'm wondering if Velveeta cheese is on it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi T--No Velveeta on the list. HTH =)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ok, so I tried using the $5 coupon on the shredded cheese in Arnold, and they wouldn't take it....even when I asked the lady for their coupon policy and her and I went over it together. Where it says "up to 50% of the retail price" I said that it is the retail price not sale price. I even asked if I where to buy the sliced cheese that is on SALE for $2 if I could use it....she said no....there wasn't a manager to approve it, and that they have a wall of bad coupons some from Smartsource's website (I doubt!) she said even though it came from the manufacturer's website, they won't take it. Chippewa said they wouldn't take it either.

Where have you guys had luck?

  25. Another reason to have an iphone...I'm am so excited about tomorrow. Since I have the sprout with me, I can only plan one trip, she is vile on my shopping excursions. I don't know how I gave birth to such an "unshopper". Thanks for all the updates. Kelly

  26. Kelly I feel your pain. My new little man hates shopping with me more than his dad does. sometimes i have luck putting him in the sling, but tomorrow is massive soda buying day and its too hard to lift with him. im thinking of trying to do some midnight shopping while he's asleep with daddy.

  27. anyone know if we can buy $10 products and get 2 $5 cats?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I had no luck using the $5 coupon at SNS at Jungermann tonight. I already have a message in with corp. Does anyone know if this Catalina offer is only at SNS?

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi Sarah - I haven't heard about the Kraft Cat in this area for any other store but SNS.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I had troubles at the Edwardsville store. They said that retail price was the sale price - I talked to the store director as well. The cashier originally told me that she couldn't take IP over $1, but I asked her to check since I knew it was 50% off of retail. I am going to email corporate as well.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I've been trying to call SNS Corp. since shortly after 8:00 and have only gotten a busy signal.

Anyone on the phone with them now about the $5 Kraft coupon?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I did fine at the Wood River store. As soon as I went in, I asked for the store director and we talked about the coupon. He was fine with it. And, everyone was made aware so no issues. Catalina printed fine. And, all of my deals worked out. It really helps if you stop and talk the manager first. They know about the Huddle to Fight Hunger Campaign and starting to become aware that Kraft has promotions going on and coming up. That is your safest route.

I saved 87%. 301 for 39. Will post details later.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Jeri,

do you have chat capability on Facebook? If so open a window and we can talk about it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I was at Market Place about 10 days ago and came across a Kraft tear pad. One of the MQ was for $1.00/2 Philly Cream Cheese.

All this refusal about Kraft cheese and that $5.00/5 IP, probably going to have me buying over at Market Place. I can get the 12 oz. Dutch Farm cheese for under a buck.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I spoke with SNS corporate. They said "We define retail price as sale price." That being said the $5/5 wouldn't work for the shredded cheese because it would be over 50%. At least that's what they told me.

Has anyone verified that the Kraft Catalina is rolling? I tried to ask about it and she had NO clue what I was even talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Has anyone had success purchasing 10 Kraft items in one transaction and receiving 2 $5 cats?

    ReplyDelete
  37. The Catalina is rolling. Kelly I didn't try 10 at a time.

    ReplyDelete
  38. i successfully used the $5 coupon twice this morning at the florissant sns on charbonier. the first cashier called her manager to make sure she could take it, and they did, no problem. the second time i just told the cashier i had already used one that morning, and he didn't even bother checking on it.

  39. Hi All--To start off- The Kraft promo is only at Supervalu chains. This cat does roll BUT does not stack (do not buy 10 to get 2 x 5.00 cats).

OMG Rhonda--you and I were in the WR store at the same time!! I stopped at CS to get an ok on the -5/5 Kraft Q and Melisa told me a lady was just in asking about it and we were go to go on using it =) I absolutely LOVE the WR store and the couple of great cashiers I always go to. If others who did not have luck with the $5.00 cat printing--Please post the items you purchased and I will compare them to the master UPC list or you can contact Catalina Marketing to get your cat sent to you if you did purchase the correct items. Ms. Jeri has details on this also.

I took a picture when I unloaded my shopping--Yep Perma smile here. Planning on a couple more trips after the maillady arrives =) Cannot wait to hear/see from everyone else. =)

So Far: 5 trips Total $9.17 which $6.99 was Tax
and have $35.00 in Cats still to use =)

    ReplyDelete
  40. How do we know if our store is a Supervalu chain?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'll go check the master list--BB

    ReplyDelete
  42. My Kraft Catalina didn't print, and of course they had no idea what I was talking about when I spoke with customer service. They said if I can print off proof of the deal and bring in my receipt they'd give me the $5. Where could I find something that says they're participating in the Catalina deal?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Supervalu stores participating in promo:

ACME, Albertsons, Cub Foods, Farm Fresh**, Jewel-Osco, Shaws, Shop n Save and Shaws.

**The Farm Fresh is a larger chain than the small FF we have around here.

Yea I hear the maillady !!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hi Amanda--if you post what items you bought I can check them against the Master UPC and then you might have to contact Catalina Marketing. HTH =)

    ReplyDelete
  45. OMG Janet you can spend $9 in 5 trips! I thought I was doing good by spending $17 in 1 trip lol. I tip my hat to you and your coupon ninja skills!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Janet is AWESOME! @Marcella, I spent $17 too.
    -Andrea

    ReplyDelete
  47. I spent $17, too! $9 in 5 trips is awesome!!! I'm planning trip #2 for tonight, but expect that to be around $15. Oh well...I'll be stocked up on soda for quite awhile.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Wow! Wow! to Janet! That's couponing to the nth degree! How do you ever do that? :) Wish I'm as good and have my own car. Has to wait for hubby to give me a ride. I hope and pray my store still has on stock ALL the items on my list. :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. i think Janet should do a guest post and show us here trips in detail!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I have a problem. I have NO room left in my refrigerator and NO room left in my freezer. I have stockpiled on my diet coke for hopefully 6 months and my surplus pantry in the basement has no room. But I really need to go one more time. Ya gotta love Shop N Save!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I posted this on the Shop N Save thread but thought I should post it here if anyone is having problems w/ the Kraft coupon -

Great news everyone! I just spoke with Meredith @ SNS corp and they WILL be accepting the Kraft coupon - she said they are making an exception this time for it since they know their prices are competitive and the coupon is a good one - they just sent an email to all managers so if you have any problems, ask for the manager! Willie hopefully your wife can go back and use the coupon this time. Just wanted to share this with everyone in case anyone has problems with it (I was sure I would that is why I called before going).

    ReplyDelete
  52. Thanks Jenny! I dont usually go to SNS on $10 Thurs but I couldnt resist free cheese! I had no problems with the $5/5 IP or the $5 catalina at the Crestwood store. Got 5 cheeses, 2 carmel apples and 3 Libbys veggies for .64 after coupons and the earned catalina!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Lynda,

I am so there with you about the lack of space. I am wanting to go again for some more soda and cheese. It really is a good week. Gotta love these. I feel like I could just keep working scenarios out for almost free. So, very tempting.

  54. My 3 trips today - 36 12 packs of Coke, 15 packages of cheese, 8 Old El Paso Sides, 2 boxes of Cereal Bars, 5 cans of biscuits, 4 steamers, 3 lbs of chicken, sour cream, ketchup, 4 2 liters of Mt. Chill, 4 Barilla whole grain pasta, and something I can't remember. My OOP was $37. I think that was good with all of the Coke I bought.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Janet,

We seriously need to get together. We would have so much fun!! I love Wood River too. They are like family. We should compare notes.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hi All--Just got back in from last 2 trips and pick up from school.

Rhonda--Yep--I agree we should. I have never had so much fun shopping in my life and for groceries--I must be insane. Hubby laughed and asked if I set up the soda Fort yet so he could take my pic in it. Gotta love him =) I'm gonna type up my cheat sheet to see my totals. BBL =)

  57. Once around christmas time Diet Coke was on super sale. my sister build a Diet Coke throne for her husband as his christmas present. He's a total junkie so it was hilarious to see pictures of him (big guy, 6'4") sitting on his throne. lol

    ReplyDelete
  58. I spent $12--I wish I could have gone again--I had babysitters--but Ballawin SNS was crazy--I didn't know if I would be able to split my order. Plus, they were having a hard time keeping the floor stocked. Luckily, people were pretty good-natured about the crowd. I'll have to go back another day and roll the cheese cat. Kelly

    ReplyDelete
  59. I went back today and they said the Kraft coupon was "fraudulent" but they would still let me use it if I bought 7 cheeses. Um, ok. I didn't have a fight in me so I went with it.

I went three times today. 79%, 82% and 95% Woohooo! The cashier was cheering me on with the last 2 and said I saved a 'crap load' on the last one lol.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I never thought I would say it but I am tired of shopping at SNS. I have overdosed on shopping today. Between Walgreens and SNS this week I think I am going to have a hangover.

  61. Where does it say that Shop and Save is participating in the $5 Catalina. My Shop and Save said their Catalina machines were down and that I could leave my phone number with Customer Service. Customer Service had NO IDEA what I was talking about!! She took my number, but I got the impression she wouldn't follow up. Where can I find the information to prove it? Thank you for your help. I REALLY appreciate it!! =)

  63. My first post on here after several reads and following everyone's good deals. Although I am not as good as all of you at times, I still tend to save around 80% of my bill through multiple trips, but I also end up having to get my laundry detergent or bread and so forth, so my bills still tend to be in the $20 range for each trip. Although three separate trips today and I still only spent $45 total. Considering I had to get the groceries for the week, I felt like it wasn't too bad!

One frustration for the day is that I went once through the checkout, and had bought 40 items from the buy 10 get five off category, but the cashier failed to ring one up of the pizza rolls and didn't charge me for it! Frustrating because I didn't get the extra five off plus the five for school! Still did well, but I hate planning and then feeling like I got cheated :)

Also, I read someone saying that the Edwardsville store was having issues with taking the $5 cheese coupon. I used it twice and had absolutely no issue at all. Wish I could print off more. I have yet to be turned down a coupon at the Edwardsville SNS.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Marcella - Not sure how SNS could call the $5 coupon fraudulent when it comes directly from the Kraft website. And then to say even though its fraudulent they will take it if you buy 7! Thats like them saying they will take your $20 counterfeit bill as long as you add another $5! Stores make no sense over coupons sometimes, it would be funny if it didnt cause us so much grief!

    ReplyDelete
  65. It's all in a cashier's attitude. Some WANT you to save money; others act like you are taking money out of their paycheck! Kelly

    ReplyDelete
  66. I have so many people to respond to, I don't knowe where to start. It's been great fun reading all the comments.

Rhonda - I'm technically challenged. I'll have to have one of my kids show me how to use chat on Facebook.

Rachel - SNS Corp is much like the store, it all depends on who you talk to.

Amanda and Pitterpattersmom - On many Catalina deals there is no "proof". You can still get your coupon by calling Catalina Marketing (877) 210-1917 option 1.

Have your receipt in front of you when you call. They will ask for the refrence #'s on the receipt and can research if you purchased the correct items and should have recieved a Cat coupon. They will send out the coupon by mail.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Janet - I'm in agreement with the readers that think you should write a guest post. Interested?

Jenny - Thanks for getting through to SNS Corp. that the stores should be accepting this coupon.

Marcella - I'd love to see pics of the "Coke Thrown" I'm in agreement with CJ. Saying it's fraudent but we will take it would be funny if it wasn't such a hassel.

Kristie - Welcome. I've had a deal messed up before too because a cashier didn't scan everything. I'd head back to the store and explain to Customer Service with the product and tell them what happened and that you want to pay for it and get your $5 savings.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Are the slices included in the catalina?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hi Anonymous - The list Janet send me says:

Kraft Cheese - Shredded, cubed, chunk
    Kraft Singles

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yeah I thought it was weird too. I said it came from the website and she said, "I know I know but its fraudulent. You can still use it if you buy 7 b/c it would be over the 50% rule." Mmm-kay. I used it once in the morning no problem and in the evening I htink they had had so many of them come through that they freaked out. I love arbitrary rules!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Marcella - Being over the 50% rule isnt "fraudulent", its just against their policy - 2 very different things. Stores tend to use the "f" word a lot without really knowing what it means, that drives me crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Hi All- Just got back in from actual "work" and school pick up. In between in stopped at SNS to roll the Kraft cat on OM Hot Dogs--

    Bun Length are 2.00 ea.
    buy 5 @10.00 - 5.00 Cat = $5.00
    Earn a new $5.00 Cat

There are printables out: ck coupons.com zip 33313 and couponbug.com--there maybe some -1/1 OM Hot dogs left but there was a -1/2 OM Hot dog also.

    I did:

    5 OM Bun Lenth @10.00
    -5 x -1/1 OM HD IPs=5.06
    -$5.00 Kraft cat from yesterday= $.06
    Earned a new $5.00 Cat =)
Can't beat FREE OM Hot dogs

Then I did another trans. with the cheese dogs but they are $2.50 ea. so I paid OOP 2.50 =tax and earned the new $5.00 Cat

    Rolled that onto Kraft Miracle Whip 2.98 x 5=$14.90- 5 x -1.50 MW Tearpad Qs I traded for=$7.40-$5.00 Cat = $2.40+tax OOP and earned a new $5.00 Cat.

  73. Sorry about missing them "g's" in lenght.

Jeri--Have we set a record for posts?

There are many possiblities with this Kraft deal. HTH

Yesterday I did take a picture of my first round --I stacked all items on the back of my truck and snapped away, had a cup of coffee then went and did two trans in which I purchased my meats-brought them inside and took a pic on my counter. I would love to "show" my adventures and would be glad to share the possiblities so you guys can Keep more of your hard earned dollars =)

  74. janet u are awesome :) you should teach a class on sns shopping!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hi CJ - Love you calling fraudlent the "f" word.

Hi Janet - Thanks for the Oscar Mayer dog info. I found the $1 coupons at 33313 still.

Records were broken for comments left, page view, coupons printed and probably everything else with my blog with SNS sale this week. Thanks everyone!

  76. Just got back from Shop and Save. I bought 11 cases of Capri Sun and 5 cheeses -- It only printed out one $5 catalina. I was expecting 3. Any thoughts? Where is the information on the Catalina deal? I can't find it anywhere. :(

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hi pitterpattersmom--Sorry but this cat does not stack--it has been posted do not buy more than 5 items at a time. HTH

    ReplyDelete
  78. Whoops -- somehow I missed that. Rats!! :(

    ReplyDelete
  79. Hi Pitterpattersmom - As rule of thumb, I never assume a Cat deal is stacking unless I hear otherwise. You could have split you purchase into three back to back transaction. If you would have done that, you could have used the $5 Cat you recieved each time to pay for the next transaction.

You could return you Capri Sun and then repurchase it in groups of five. But, the Catalina Kraft offer ends today, Tuesday.
