I heard rumor that next week is AARP week and with an AARP card you get a $5 RR on $20 purchase...
ReplyDeleteSo perhaps it is take your mom or grandmom to walgreens week?
Thanks Anonymous for catching my math mistake. It makes for a great deal when you do the math right.
ReplyDeleteAARP starts stalking people before they are 50. I think that organization is going to have to change their name. With this economy no one is going to be able to retire.
I used my one Gain coupon at Schnucks last week. I wish I would have held onto it and gotten it free at Walgreens. I hope I'm not the only one who obsesses over having paid .19 for dish soap when I could have had it for free!
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - You should still be happy with $0.19 for dish detergent. Just think what you would have paid if you didn't use coupons.
ReplyDeleteCJ-- I was ticked I used my Gain coupons at schnucks too. I heard they would have been free at Walmart but I hate hassling with Walmart, so I'd rather pay .19 each than deal with that. But I have a pretty friendly wags so I could have totally used them there.
ReplyDeleteIn August I turned 50 and guess what was waiting in the mailbox. You got it an AARP application. Guess I shouldn't have torn it up and thrown it in the trash.
ReplyDeleteHi All- I could not find the Gain at our little Schnucks--good deal--I have 3 coupons to use and dish liq. is getting low. And I will not use any coupons at Wal-Mart--I will not shop there for no reason. =)
ReplyDeleteI just bought 4 pkgs of Trident for .29 each. Use the weekly ad coupon for .79 and the in store coupon booklet which has a coupon for $1.00 off of 2 pkgs making them .29!
ReplyDeleteI checked Gain dish liquid at my store last week. Didn't find it on the dish liquid shelf. Has anyone did and where was it? TIA.
ReplyDeleteHi coupon.girl - I haven't been to Walgreens this week, but I'll look when I get there, and if I can find the manager, I'll ask him what's up.
ReplyDeleteThe Crest that's on sale for $1.99 and printing $1 RR also has a small bonus tube attached and $10 in coupons inside. I didnt have a coupon for it today so will have to go back.
ReplyDeleteI usually shop at Walgreens on Lemay Ferry at Bayless or the one at Hampton and Gravois. Do you guys think I'll have any problems using a $1.00 coupon on an item for only .89?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dana
2 Try Me Free rebates available at Walgreens (maybe other stores too) - Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel liquid (hang tag form) and Dickinson's Witch Hazel facial towelettes (peelie form on box). Both rebates are for $4.99 and according to an email response I got from the company, you can do one rebate on each item. At Wags they are located in the facial care section.
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - Thanks for the additional info on Crest and Dickinson's.
ReplyDeleteHi Dana - From Walgreens coupon policy
ReplyDelete"When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.
The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value)."
You shouldn't have a problem. If I were you I would print out a copy of the policy and take it with you when you shop. Find a link to the policy under the Walgreens Tab in my header.
