Menu Plan Monday - Week of 10/18/10
Yesterday was out neighborhood's Oktoberfest. There was so much food at the picnic, we ended up snacking for dinner, and we brought home leftover Brats. It made for easy meal planning this week - a carry over from last week and leftover Brats for our busy Wednesday evening.
Monday: Grilled pork chops, baked potatoes, veggie, homemade applesauce
Tuesday: Pasta con Broccoli, garlic bread, grapes
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Dinner out after school conferences
Friday: BBQ Beef Sandwiches, chips, pears
Saturday: Tacos, seasoned black beans, fresh fruit
Sunday: Baked chicken, long grain & wild rice, veggie, fruit

I'm SO bad at making a meal plan and sticking to it. Last week I made one, stuck to it AND made dinner for a family that needed to not worry about what's for dinner. I made a plan, wrote down my ingredients and went shopping early in the week. So liberating!
ReplyDeleteI've got this week planned except for thursday. Its a crazy week and I need a plan. This whole planning thing might just stick this time!
Hi Marcella - Meal planning does make life easier and the older your kids get the more hectic life will get.
ReplyDeleteI'm to the point where I meal plan out of what I already have in the freezer and pantry. All I need to purchase is perishable items and sometimes a few extra ingredients. I put the meals that need the "extras" late in the week, so I have plenty of time to get to the store.
