CVS $5 Scenario - Week of 3/06/11

You can save a ton of money at CVS rolling ECBs.  If you are following my CVS $5 Scenarios, you have a $4 ECB to start this week's shopping.

If your store is busy, you might not want to do too many back to back transactions. I like to do a couple of transaction and then step aside and let the people behind me checkout.  This keeps the other customers and cashiers happy.

purchase:
(1) RevitaLens Multi-Purpose Solution $7.89
use:
(1) RevitaLens coupon (3/06/11 SS) - $3.00
ECB from last week -$4.00
= $0.89 + tax out of pocket and get a $4 ECB


Transaction #2
purchase:
(1) Schick Hydro 3 or Hydro 5 $8.79
use:
(1) Schick Hydro coupon (1/30/11 SS)  -$2.00
ECB from previous transaction -$4.00
= $2.79 + tax out of pocket and get a $5 ECB


Transaction #3
purchase:
(1) Revlon or Lip Product $6.49
use:
ECB from previous transaction -$5.00
= $1.49 + tax out of pocket and get a $4 ECB

Transaction #4
purchase:
(1) Revlon Nail Polish $3.99
use:
ECB from previous transaction -$3.99 (cashier will reduce)
= $0.00 + tax out of pocket (if you have to pay tax in your state) and get a $3 ECB

Retail price before sales & coupons: $31.96
Total out of pocket: $5.17 + tax for an 84% savings

If you didn't start with the $4 ECB, you still will have only spent $9.17  for this scenario - a 71% savings.

  2. Hi - They are in this week's ad for $10 off. They were being sold for $35 around the Holidays. I don't know if the price has changed. I'll check when I'm there today.
