Unadvertised sale on Philadelphia Cooking Creme at Schnucks - price good through 4/3/11.

Philadelphia Cooking Creme - $2
$1.50 - 3/06/11 SS
Final price: .50 each
Also be on the lookout of $1.50 tearpad coupons at the store.

I purchased a couple of these a few weeks ago, and have yet to included them in my dinner plans.

If you've tried this new products, what do you think? Is it a product you would buy again - only with a good coupon, not at all not matter how cheap, or would you consider paying full price?

Thanks, Rhonda!

  1. I've bought the Sante Fe and regular flavors and they were both good. I wouldnt pay over $2 for it and of course would want to pay less whenever possible.

  2. I bought the savory garlic and tried the recipe that was on the peelie recipe card. My family loved it and it was super easy but I am having a brain freeze as to how I made it.lol.

  3. I haven't tried a recipe yet, but the Sante Fe makes a good dip for tortilla chips when warmed.

  4. I forgot to add that I will buy it again, but only with a good coupon of course!

  7. I bought it, but of course wouldn't pay more than $1 for it. I threw it together with some chicken breasts, penne noodles, and broccoli and it was delicious.

  8. I used the Original Cooking Creme to make Chicken Enchilada Dip:

I usually use regular cream cheese, but the new creme worked great too! This is a great meal for quick nights - I make it the night before and leave it in the fridge for my husband to pop in the oven.

I've never used the green chiles b/c I never have any. I usually put taco seasoning in instead.

I would only buy the cooking creme for probably $1 or less, though. It's not worth more than a brick of cream cheese (which is usually $1), in my opinion!

  9. Keep an eye out for the free cookbook when you buy 4. They had them at my Schnucks.

  10. I have to admit I am a foodie and typically make all of my sauces from scratch. But, I am sold on this. I wouldn't pay alot for it but in a pinch it is really good. Used the original last night in beef stroganoff. Pretty good - not homemade but tasty. I have to admit, I am having fun trying creating new recipes with them. Going to try incorporating sun-dried tomato pesto in some. We shall see. Have a great day all.

  11. the tear pad coupons were gone at my schnucks but the Schnucks boneless, skinless, chicken breast had peelies on them for $1.50 off chicken wyb the cooking creme. I bought the split chicken breast that were on sale and grabbed a couple of the peelies to use on the cooking creme. Not sure if that is "ethical couponing" or not :P

  12. LeAnn,
That's ethical - you used one coupon for the creme and the other for the chicken :)

  13. Hi LeAnn - Are you questioning the ethics of taking the peelie from one type of chicken to use on another?

I think it's wrong to take peelies if your not purchasing the product that day, but in your situation where you purchased another type of chicken, I probably would do that too.

I look at it as if Rice Chex had a peelie for any Chex and you were wanting to purchases Corn Chex. I would use the peelies in that case.

    What does everyone else think?

  14. Yes, that is what I meant Jeri. I wanted the chicken that was on sale. I bought 3 packs of the chicken, and three cremes. I had the coupon for the insert for one of the cremes, and used two peelies from the other chicken breasts for the other two cremes. I was going to buy the chicken no matter what, just not the expensive kind. I felt a little guilty peeling them off, but I did use that same day and only took what I needed.

  15. Don't forget, if you're a member of Kraft's First Taste, there is probably a coupon waiting for you for $1.50 off.

  16. Great stuff! This is what cream cheese (even Philly Cream cheese) is like in Germany. -Elizabeth
