  2. Thanks, Rhonda! Did you find $1.50 blinkie coupons for it also? I hear they are at some stores.

  3. I have seen tearpad coupons at Schnucks and blinkies at Dierbergs in addition to the coupon from the paper last weekend.

  8. Does Schnucks have a printable coupon policy? I looked but couldn't find it. Just wondering if I'll have trouble using two coupons when something is BOGO like the fish.

  10. I desperately needed a quick coleslaw dressing last week. The Marzetti Simply dressed bottles had $1 off hangtags on them. Maybe they are still there this week.
Also, don't know if this is a MO/IL thing or a typo, but my Schnucks ad says 7-UP 2 liters are .87.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi Lisa R - I don't know if the GM Cat is stacking or not. I wouldn't plan on it if I were you. But, if you want to purchase more than one group of (5). Purchase them in back to back transactions and use the Catalina you got from the first pruchase to pay for the second.

Schnucks does not have a published coupon policy. YMWV with using (2) coupons on a B1G1 sale. On a B1G1 sale at Schnucks the first product will ring up full price and the second one for $0.00.

I've never had a problem using two coupons on a B1G1 sale at Schnucks, but you could get an overly picky cashier that wouldn't allow it. If you purchase two products and use two coupons, Schnucks will get reinbursed from the manufacturer for both of them.

  12. Hi Anonmous - My typo on the 7 Up 2 litters. Thanks for catching it.

I love Marzetti Simply Dressed salad dressing. It's one of those products I might consider paying full price for. But, I probably won't.

I have to comment on you purchasing Cole Slaw dressing. When my husband and I got married, I really disliked Cole Slaw and it was one of my husbands favorite things.

I tried a million Cole Slaw recipes looking for one I could tolerate. My husband loved them all. I finally found this recipe. It's super easy to put together and I love it too.

I don't have the measurements any more - I just put it together

1 bag of Cole Slaw Mix (or chopped cabbage & shredded carrots)
1/4 cup Water - Stir to dampen cabbage
1 heaping tablespoon of Dijon Mustard
And enough Mayo or Miracle Whip to make it the consistency you like.

I make this first thing when fixing dinner and put it back in the frige to chill - 1/2 hour or so until dinner is ready.

It's not the best the next day, but not unedible either, just a little runny.

  13. Sadina - Thanks for the Friskies info. I scored 2 more coupons (thanks, urbanmama!) so will pick up 2 more to donate.

  14. Here is a copy of Schnucks coupon policy I received via email from their consumer affairs department. I meant to share it earlier, but got sidetracked. This was as of 1/17/11.

See below regarding my BOGO question.

Schnucks Metro St. Louis Coupon Policy

    · Schnucks stores in the St. Louis metropolitan market area will double the value of up to 15 qualifying manufacturer’s coupons with a face value of up to 40-cents as long as the doubled value does not exceed the price of the item to which it is applied.

    · Only one coupon can be used per validly purchased item.

    · There is no limit to the number of coupons that can be redeemed at face value as long as only one coupon is presented per each validly purchased item and the value of the coupon does not exceed the price of the item.

    · We do, however, also reserve the right to limit the number of identical coupons used at any one time.

    · If a coupon’s value exceeds the price of the item, the value of the coupon will be adjusted so as not to exceed the price of the item.

    · In a “Buy One Get One Free” scenario, you may use a manufacturer’s coupon on the item you purchase. An additional coupon cannot be applied to the second item because it is already free.

    · We reserve the right to decline any coupon that may appear to be a copy.

    · We reserve the right to limit quantities so that all guests have an opportunity to enjoy specific savings opportunities.

    · Our current Internet Coupon Policy is printed below:

o As with all manufacturer’s coupons, only one coupon per item can be applied.

o Internet/home-printed coupons for FREE products will not be accepted.

o Internet/home-printed coupons with a value greater than $5.00 will not be accepted.

o We reserve the right to decline acceptance of any coupon that does not appear to be an original and/or any coupon that does not scan properly.

o Please contact a service center teammate or manager on duty if you have any questions.

You probably presented the most complex of all scenarios and the reason it can get confusing is that we have a "Buy One Get One Free" (BOGO) coupon policy statement that would seem to be contradictory.

If SCHNUCKS were selling an item as "BOGO", the first item would ring up at full price and the second item would ring up "free". In that case, you could only use one coupon…the coupon on the item for which you were paying full price. The second would have rung up "free" so an additional coupon could not be applied.

However, in YOUR example, you are bringing the "Buy One Get One Free" coupon to US so the scenario is just a little different. As long as the store isn't also selling the item as a "BOGO", the checker will scan both items and both items will show value on the receipt. You apply the 50-cent off coupon to the product for the first item. That's fine as long as the item doesn't originally scan for 49-cents or less. By buying that item (albeit ultimately at 50-cents off), you then use your "Buy One Get One Free" coupon to get the second item "free". The checker then would assign a value to that coupon that is equal to the price it actually scanned.

  17. Thanks for the cole slaw recipe Jeri! I will have to try it sometime. Honestly, my favorite coleslaw is completely from scratch. I was just having too busy of a week to do that. The pulled pork was in the crock pot, just needed the quick side to go with it. The Simply dressed dressing was not bad...a little sweeter than I like (I prefer tangy coleslaw) but not bad. My husband thought it was inedible, but he doesn't like coleslaw anyway. =)

  19. Hi Kim - Your comment didn't appear until now because it automatically got put in the spam file. I don't know why. I changed it so it would appear here.

Thanks for passing on the coupon policy info you received.

I have to admit I don't understand Schnucks policy about two coupons on a B1G1 sale. If two coupons are used they will get reinbursed for both. But, I guess that's the policy or at least how this customer service rep presented it. I still wish they had a published coupon policy.

  20. Thanks Janet for the GM stacking info. Did you find the $1 off 3 coupons for Progresso in a brouchure with the display of products in the Catalina deal?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks, Sadina!

I found the Guiness rebate and am going to post the picture so people know what to look for.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thanks Kim for posting the policy. Don't know why stores won't make the policy avaialble online - easier for us, the cashiers, and managers if everyone is on the same page.
I did use 4 .50 Qs to purchase 4 fish that were BOGO. The cashier didn't question that. She did however question using when I used a BOGO Q for stayfree in addition to a $1 Q to purchase two. I explained that the $1 Q applies to the first one I'm buying and the BOGO applies to the second item. She hesitated but let it go through. Nice to see both are in line with the policy Kim received.

  23. FYI, for those who didn't make it out to SnS for free tuna. I found tuna at my schnuck's was 1.25/pouch with $.25/1 peelies on them. I used the $1.50/3 from the paper and 2 of the $.25/1 peelies. I saved the other 3 peelies because the x date was further out. Ended up paying $3.75 and got the $1.50 cat so the tuna pouches end up .45 each. All in all, not a fantastic price, but my daughter likes them for lunches, so....

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks, pixie_bit - SNS also has StarKist Chunk Light Tuna pouches on sale for $1.

They tried to put it in the In-Store special ad, but the ad was all messed up - words didn't match picture. I saw a corretion notice at the store.

  25. Consumer affairs was very nice when I contacted them regarding my problem. This is what they said regarding why they don't have it posted online yet...

The problem with posting our policies on the web at this time is that we do not have the same terms in each market so it needs to be set up in a more complex way. We are working on it!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi Kim - I hadn't thought of the complications Schnucks would have posting a coupon policy. I'm sure they don't want to upset customers when they realise Schnucks double policy is so different in different markets.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Okay so I went to Schnucks today with the $1 off two gordons items coupon and the cashier said I couldn't use it because "technically" I wasnt buying two, I was only buying one. Needless to say I was a little upset considering I have never had this problem before, anyone else have this happen??

    I went to K&N in O Fallon

    ReplyDelete
  28. Also on an end cap in the health and beauty section I found a MIR for a $10 giftcard with any $30 purchase of P&G items in a single transaction. Do you think this will work anywhere?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi TwinMom - From the coupon policy Kim posted (she emailed Schnucks) it looks like the cashier was following policy.

I haven't had any problems in the past using coupons for both products on a B1G1 sale. But, it looks like that goes against their policy.

I'm not a Walmart shopper, but I'm thinking maybe I should be because their new coupon policy follows how store get reinbursed. Someone who wrote this policy "gets" how coupons work.

I don't understand retailers that set coupon policies not understanding when or how they get reinbursed.

I haven't seen the P&G MIR form. What kind of info is on it and is there a phone number or email address to contact?
